Follow Your Dreams!

Here is my second card today & what a lovely sentiment (though in practice not that easy to do lol).

The challenge at Cute Card Thursday this week is "In the Water" so I used this gorgeous Penny Black stamp & I combined it with the Penny Black Saturday challenge which is "Stars and Stripes". These fab papers & elements are from the Designs by Krista's "Over the Moon" kit. The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat.

Back to School

Woohoo I've had all day to craft today (well inbetween getting food & doing housework lol).

This very bright card is made for Stamp Something's "Back to School" challenge which hopefully is ok as it is for a child lol. I used papers from Kaboodle Doodles "Cars" (I think, or it might be the Animals kit but they're all fab so why not check them out) & "Harry Loves Stars kits". The cute stamped image is by Zoe from Spiral Whisper. The stickers are from my stash.

I used Sketch Saturday's fab sketch.

Summer Card (aka wishful thinking)

I have been feeling a bit below par today :o( so this card has taken me all day to make.

But at least as I've only managed one card I've included 3 themes: "Summer" is the theme on Arty Girlz blog, I love this cute summery stamp. "3 Different Ribbons" is A Spoon Full of Sugar's challenge this week & I hope this counts I've used 3 different coloured sticky ribbons (pink, blue & green). The Papertake challenge this week is "A Stitch in Time" & the ribbon has faux stitching on it :o). The papers are from Funky Hand & I've added brads, buttons, flowers & a stamped sentiment.

Get Well Soon Card

Phew! Managed to fit in another card before 9 o'clock, other half tells me there's a good film on then lol :-)

This card is for the Dutch Dare challenge which this week is "Make a Get Well Card". I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday. The fab Doctor & Nurse stamps are designed by Zoe from Spiral Whisper. The papers were a free download but unfortunately I can't remember where from. I finished the card off with a stamped sentiment & a couple of fabric flowers.

2 Sketches 4 You

I've been trying to sort out my craft stuff today, thought I might sell some to make room for more new stuff :-) I didn't get very far cos I wanted to make a card lol.

I've used the sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You, I've missed their challenges the last couple of weeks so thought I would get in early this time.
This card is made with gorgeous papers from Designs by Krista. This is the Blossom kit & the fab lil bird is from the Bloomin' kit. I used sticky lace which is one of my favourite embellishments at the moment & I chalked a white flower pink & added a button I found at work (apologies if anyone hast lost it but I thought it would look good on a card lol).

Four Challenges In One!

Well as I haven't had much time lately to keep up with the challenges I've tried to be clever & combine 4 lol - hopefully I've succeeded.

1) I used the sketch from A Spoonful of Sugar
2) "Bright Colours" which is the challenge on Cute Card Thursday. The papers are from Pink Petticoat.
3) Stamp Something's challenge is "Birthday Somethings" & I used a HOTP birthday wish greeting.
4) My Time To Craft have a "Recipe" this week which is: 1 ribbon, 1 flower, 2 buttons & some glitter. I added glitter to the wand & star tiara.

Hopefully I haven't missed anything out.

Penny Black & Arty Girlz Challenges

The Penny Black challenge this week is "No Cards Allowed" so I've made 3 ATCs using one of my fav PB stamps which features 3 pigs - I cut each one out & put on a seperate ATC. The paper is from the Kaboodle Doodles Pirate Skulls kit. I used sticky ribbon, flower buttons & gems. The pigies are mounted on to scalloped ovals which is the Arty Girlz challenge this week (well the challenge is actually to "Add Shapes" so I think they count).

If anyone would like to swap these ATCs for 3 of their own just let me know. I don't like keeping my own ATCs lol cos the whole purpose of making them is to swap & see other peoples work :-)

Kaboodle Doodle 1st Challenge Pic

Today is the first day of Kaboodle Doodles first ever challenge with free papers to download & use :-) I hope you'll all give it a go.

This is my card I made with the papers. I just added a stamped image, brads & eyelets etc

2 Challenge Fairy Card

Work has been soo busy & stressful that I haven't had much time for crafting this week :-(

At least it is a long weekend so perhaps I can make up for it a bit. This card was made for 2 challenges: I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers & the theme at ABC this week is "Fairies" (one of my favourites). These gorgeous papers & tag are from "Spring Breeze" kit from Designs by Krista, you should check her site out she has LOADS of fab downloads. The fairy stamp is one of my favourites by Willow Designs & I added a flower, button & brads.

This Sunday will see the start of the Kaboodle Doodles blog 1st ever challenge. Andrea is offering free papers that you can download & use in whatever way you wish to make something for the challenge. So why not you pop over on Sunday & have a go :-)

3rd Christmas Card :-)

Just a quick post before I get ready for work.

This card was made for the Oh-la-la challenge of "Christmas" (I'm up to 3 cards made now lol, daren't think how many to go but it is only August though you'd think it's nearly Christmas by the weather). I used the sketch from Our Creative Corner.

I love this stamp it's by Rubber Stampede & is called Christmas Shopping. I coloured it in with Whispers pens (thought I should use them cos they are just sitting on my desk) as it needed stronger colours. I used Pink Petticoat papers, added ribbon & a greeting.

Papertake Weekly Challenge

Katharina alway does fab sketches for Papertake weekly challenges & this week is no different. This week their sponsor is Andrea at Kaboodle Doodles.

I made this card using fab papers from 2 Kaboodle Doodles kits: Pink & Blue kit & Party Picnic kit. I added a stamped image, flower greeting, buttons, lace & brads.

Animal Card

I made this card for the Dutch Dare challenge which this week is "use an animal print/design on your card as a main image".

I used paper & images from the fab Kaboodle Doodles Animals kit with some tags, brads & a stamped greeting.

Summer Card

The challenge on the Stamp Something blog is "Summer Somethings". I made this card using a cute stamp I bought on Ebay. For a silly touch I added some stamped sunglasses. The papers are buy Funky Hand & the sketch I used is from Card Positioning Sytems. I finished it off with a transparent star accent attached with a brad, some sticky braid & a rub on sentiment.

Something Useful

Steph's challenge on SBS 18 this week is "Something Useful" which was handy cos I had an old notebook from work which I was going to make a lil more presentable.

I covered it with a Pink Petticoat paper, added some Mayer Road rub-ons, silver card & sticky lace. In case you're wondering the word on the front is "Maternity" lol (I work in a Drs & sorting out the maternity stuff is part of my job).

Hooray 3 More Challenges!

I've had a second wind so to speak lol & managed to make another card :-)

I mangaed to combine 3 challenges again. For this card I used: the sketch from Sketch Saturday, "Tags" is the challenge theme on Oh-la-la's blog this week & "A SecretMessage" is the theme of A Spoon Full of Sugar's challenge this week.

The papers are Pink Petticoat, I added a stamped image to the tag, used a bit of sticky lace & added a handbag in the corner. The tag can be moved to discover the hidden message underneath.

Penny Black & Friday Sketchers!

Didn't think I'd be able to do any crafting today cos I soo tired from my week back at work & I had to work this morn 8.00 - 11.30. But I managed to make this card :-)

The challenge at Penny Black Saturday today is "Ribbon" & I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers (it is turned round cos when I was fiddling with it I found it looked better this way, for this particular card).

The gorgeous image is coloured in with pearly paints (these paints are fab & I use them all the while, I think they only cost about £2.50 from the Works). I used my Crop-a-dile to add 4 eyelets to thread the ribbon through, added a punched & embossed flower with a heart button & finished it off with a greeting & a couple of lil gems. The backing paper is from the Pink & Blue kit from Kaboodle Doodles.

Cat Card

Gotta be quick cos it's getting late lol & work tomorrow :(

I made this "Cat" card cos that is the challenge this week on My Time to Craft blog. I thought a picture from the aptly named Cats Kaboodle Doodles kit would be ideal. I used a nice bright, stripy ribbon, brad, cat & mouse buttons & the word "meow".

Birthday Card

Hmmm.... I'm not sure about this one. I've lost my mojo a bit today, I blame going back to work. A colleague at work has a birthday on Friday so I made this card for her, hopefully she will like it but I'm not sure.

I used the sketch from Card Positioning Systems. The cake & gifts paper & icons are from a new Kaboodle Doodles range called "Party Picnic" (the blue spotty paper is from their "Pink & Blue" kit). I did a bit of decoupage & added a gem brad & a couple of gems (for the cherries). I think I spoiled a not that great card with my writing Happy Birthday on it but I couldn't find a stamp or rub on suitable. Never mind we can't like card we make & it's all part of the learning curve lol ;-)

Our Creative Corner & Papertake Challenges

This pirate card was made for Our Creative Corner challenge which is "Limited Supplies" (no designer paper & a maximum of 4 layers) & the Papertake challenge which this week is "Buttons".

I coloured in the Sugar Nellie pirate stamped image with Sakura glitter pens & water. Used a map, ships border & greeting from Kaboodle Doodles "Pirate Skulls" download kit & added buttons to the 4 corners.

Back to work today after a month on the club which came a bit hard (I'm a receptionist in a Dr's surgery) especially as Monday is always unbelievably busy lol - luckily it was only for 4 hours today which was more than enough. Don't know how I'll feel tomorrow after working 9 - 6.30 :-(

Acetate Card

This card was made with papers from the Funky Hand "Now that's Funky" CD rom. I used the sketch from the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The Image was stamped & coloured in & then stamped on acetate with Stazon ink & placed over the coloured image with brads. The Ooh-La-La challenge this week was "Acetate".

Pink, Green & Blue Card

The theme at Stamp Something this week is "Pink, Green & Blue" so I used pink & green papers from the Party Picnic kit which will be available from Kaboodle Doodles very soon (it contains lots of gorgeous cake & party images too). The stamped image (which is from my dear friend Linda, who unfortunately is offline & the moment & missing blogging very much) I coloured in with pearly paints (I know her hair is brown but one of the DT samples had a lil girl with brown hair too so I guessed it would be alright ;-) ). I added ribbon, flowers, gems, buttons & a swirly stamp.

The sketch is from Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #28.

"You Rock" Card

This card was made with the sketch from Sketch Saturday & is made it in "Black & White using one additional colour" which is the theme for the Dutch Dare challenge this week (the one other colour as you can see is red).

These funky papers & image are from the "Boys" kit from Kaboodle Doodles (there is a fab new website coming soon!) & I coloured the sign in with red chalk, added 2 brads & a chain.

Doctor & Nurse Card

I made this card using the fab lil Doctor & Nurse rubber stamps that Zoe designed, these are available from Spiral Whisper (& there are lots of other gorgeous sets too).

I used the sketch from Our Creative Corner on a tall thin card & added brads & a greeting. The gorgeous papers are from Funky Hand's "It's Funky Too" CD.

Friday Sketchers & Cute Card Thursday

This card was made using the Friday Sketchers sketch & the theme from the Cute Card Thursday blog which is "The Two of Us".

The image is coloured in with pearly paints, the papers are from the Pink & Blue paper pack from Kaboodle Doodle. I finished off with 2 flowers, chipboard, button & a twisted ribbon.

Birthday Wish

This Birthday Wish card was made for the Funky Fairys challenge this week which is "Celebration".

I downloaded the fab pink papers for free from their Blog of Inspirations. I added chipboard greetings, 3 huge flowers with a Papermania designer brad in the middle (this came with my fab blog candy that I got from Anice at Funky Hand) & a ribbon down the side.

2nd Christmas Card :-)

Ooooh if I keep on like this (1 a month lol) I should have all my christmas cards made by 2012 ;-)

This christmas card was prompted by "Christmas" being the challenge this week at My Time to Craft blog & I used the 2 Sketches 4 You sketch.

I can't remember where the papers came from I think they were a free download but the strip at the bottom is Pink Petticoat. I stamped & embossed a snowflake twice cut, coloured & decoupaged one of the images added some glitter glue & snowflake brads.

Funky Flower Card

I made this card using the sketch from Sketch Saturday. It was quite difficult getting the squares for the flowers all the same size. I needed a slightly larger card to fit them on to & I found a decorated one amoungst my stash. I hardly ever use these so that was handy :-)

I stamped 3 funky flowers (2 of 1 design & 1 of another) coloured them with Sakura glitter pens & water & added a bit of glitter glue. The papers are Pink Petticoat & I finished the card off with ribbon & a greeting.

Vintage Card

I really enjoyed making this vintage card as I haven't done one for a while.

I used Anna Griffin papers which I inked the edges of. The stamped images are from the DoCrafts Vintage See Ds which I coloured with glimmer chalks & I finished the card off with a stamped
greeting.

The "Vintage" theme is from the Arty Girlz blog & the theme over on Caardvarks blog at the moment is "From Your Closet".

Hooray More Challenges :-)

I am sooo slow at making cards I like to try to combine the challenges if possible so I can enter more of them as they are such good fun :-)

I managed to make this card for 3 challenges: The fab sketch is from Papertake, the ABC challenge is "E for embellishments" (I have used flowers, gems & ribbon) & the A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge is"Recycle" (the dark purple paper I used is from the inside of an envelope lol).

Blog Candy :-)

Michelle at The Card Grotto has been having challenges to celebrate her Blogoversary which was yesterday - last (but not least) she is giving away some really fab Blog Candy. So get over to her blog before Friday 8th to be in with a chance to win some :-)

Very Busy Thank You Card :-)

I made this card for the Stamp Something challenge which is "Thank You Somethings" using the Friday Sketchers fab sketch.

It is very busy though lol even more busy than I had intended cos I stamped a bracket thing at the bottom & it looked awful but luckily I was able to cover it up with some flowers. The image & sentiment is Pink Petticoat & the stamps (I think) are from Hot off the Press.

Penny Black Challenge - No Pink!

Ooh more hedgehogs lol but they are v cute :-)

The Penny Black Saturday challenge this week is no pink (which is very hard for a girly girl lol) but I managed. This is another stamped image given to me by Linda. I used my favourite Brenda Pinnock Paper, I like it so much I cut more of the flowers out & dotted them around the card (I was going to add some gems but decided I like it as it is). A rub-on greeting finished it off.

I had some fab news this week that I've been chosen for the Kaboodle Doodles design team. I am so excited & can't wait to get creative. Congrats to the other 6 members of the team, I'm looking forward to working with you all :-)

Hedgehog Anniversary Card

I had a wonderful surprise this morning, a message from Anice over on the Funky Hand blog to say that I had won their gorgeous blog candy. It really cheered me up :-) I can't wait to receive it & feel inspired already lol.

Today's card was quite difficult because the challenge on SBS 18 blog is to make an anniversary card with one stamped image & no patterned paper, that was the difficult part not using any patterned paper as there are so many gorgeous ones lol. I used one of my favourite Penny Black stamps, cut a heart from a template I found on Google, added a peel off greeting mounted on chipboard & some ribbon & flowers. I used just 3 colours: red black & white for the challenge on My Time to Craft blog which is you've guessed it: red, black & white (hopefully they will let me off the tiny bit of green for the leaves & stalks).
