Rocket Man...

Or should I say Rocket Boy :o) I love this image from Jellypark & as the theme for this week's Sentimental Sundays challenge is "Cards for Kids" I thought it was perfect.  I wanted a sketchy look for a change so coloured the image with PrismaColor pencils.  The papers are digi & I made a stencil with my star punch & inked a star background finishing off with a sticker & a die cut circle for the moon.  Our wonderful sponsor this week is Louby Lou & we all need cards for kids at some time so hope you will have time to join us.

The Challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Keeping It Simple

Well the weekend is going way to quickly as usual lol I still have lots of crafting/blogging to catch up with & this afternoon we have to go shopping for a wedding we have next week, I need a jacket & bag to go with my gorgeous butterfly dress I've got to wear (I'd like a neutral jacket to go with the shoes & bright blue bag to go with one of the colours of the dress - that's the plan anyway lol).  As it's Sunday (again) it's time for a new Sentimental Sundays challenge & this week it's "Celebrate Earth Day" (things found in nature).  I kept my card really simple as it was meant to quick to make cos of the lack of time but for some reason I just can't do quick lol.  The paper is by Pink Paislee & was free with a magazine, the sentiment is digi from Raindrop Echo, the butterfly is punched & glittered & I finished off with a doily, ribbon & gems.

The challenges:
Crafty Ribbons - Things With Wings
Lexi's Creations - Punches & Dies
For Fun - Anything Goes
Crafts & Me - Vintage
City Crafty - Just a Hint of Pink

Enjoy the rest of the weekend whatever you're up to & let's hope it doesn't go too quickly.

Hooray It's The Weekend!

I'm so glad it is the weekend, it has been a long & very busy week at work (I think it was worse because we were on holiday last week & it was hard getting back into routine lol).  As it is Saturday it's time for Di's Digi Challenge & this time the theme is "Animal Friends".  Di has many wonderful digital images of animals that it was hard to choose but I love this cute image, well it does have cake!  I coloured it with ProMarkers & paper pieced their dresses.  The papers are digi & from The Paper Shelter, I finished off with punched butterflies, die cut heart border, greeting, gems & flowers.  I hope you're going to have some time for crafting this weekend & that you will find time to join us & as an added incentive there is the chance to win a $10 voucher from Joanna Sheen :o)

Little Bunny Foo Foo :o)

The Jellypark Friends challenge this week is "Little Bunny Foo Foo" (use a bunny on your project).  Claire (Jellypark's fabulous illustrator) has lots of wonderful bunny images & used this (imaginatively named lol) "Pencil Drawn Rabbit" digital image to make my bookmark.  The actual bookmark was made using a die that I've had for ages & never used (I'm sure I will be using it lots more now though).  I coloured the image with ProMarkers & did some paper piecing (with digi paper scraps).  I finished off with butterflies, pearls & ribbons.

Sassy Cheryl - Butterflies

I hope you've all had a great week :o)  Yesterday was hubby's birthday & he had his last football game of the season last night (he is player/manager) so I went with my son & In Laws to support him (they lost unfortunately but played really well).  I had had a long day at work (I work til 6.30 on Thursdays) so it was a bit of a rush to get there for kick off at 7.30 & today I start work at 7.45 am so am feeling a bit tired but at least it's nearly the WEEKEND!!!

A Little Bit Grumpy...

Time for another challenge at The Paper Shelter & this week the theme is "Wings & Things".  This gorgeous image I used is called "A Little Bit Grumpy" & she certainly has got attitude lol.  I used their pre-coloured image & edged it with Glamour Dust, the papers are also from The Paper Shelter, did you know they also do fabulous digi paper packs too?  I did some machine stitching & finished off with some flowers, pearls, die cut corner & swirl, punched & inked (& glittered) butterfly, ribbon, staple & gems.  The sentiment was free from TLC & I thought it went perfectly.  You can win $20 to spend on The Paper Shelter website and if you have used one of their images on your creation but even if you haven't they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, so what are you waiting for :o)  I hope you can join us.

I hope you're all having a great week.  I've got Stu (youngest son) & In-laws round for a meal tonight as it's hubby's (Mark) birthday tomorrow (& tomorrow I'm working late & he is playing footy) - wish me luck cos I'm doing a roast & though I don't mind cooking for sons, partners & grandchildren MIL is such a good cook (& cooks for dozens effortlessly lol) that it's (just a little) daunting.

Frame It!

It feels like I haven't blogged for ages & it has been quite a while for me BUT there is a very good reason we've had our son, (soon to be) DIL & 3 wonderful grandchildren staying with us :o)  I've also not been able to do much commenting (I do miss visiting all your fab blogs & getting lots of inspiration) but I am trying to catch up now (easier said than done but I AM trying lol).

On to the card which was made for this week's Sentimental Sundays challenge which is "Frame It" & we are sponsored by the wonderful Pink Cat Studio.  I love their digis & the one I chose to use is called "Lily Bee", as Zoe (DIL) was staying I used some of her Copics (we didn't get chance to do much crafting & I only coloured about half the image with them) & finished off (later) with my ProMarkers.  I used Glamour Dust on her wings & the frame is made using Marianne dies (I think, I've had them a long while & think I should use them more as they are pretty).  The papers are from my stash & I did a bit of machine stitching.  I finished the card with ribbons, half a doily, flowers, fence border punch, greeting & some gems.

The challenges:
Delightful - Stitching
Card Makin Mamas - Getting Girly
Totally Papercrafts - Things with Wings
Crafty Ribbon - Things with Wings
PaperPlay - Things with Wings
Crafts & Me - 3D Embellishments
My Mum's Craft Shop - Celebration

I hope you all had a fabulous Easter & managed to fit some crafting in (unlike me lol).  Enjoy the rest of the weekend:)

Anything Goes at The Paper Shelter

Well this week's challenge at The Paper Shelter is "Anything Goes (with Easter in Mind)".  This was a chance to use this gorgeous "The Most Adorable Easter Bunny" image, which I coloured with ProMarkers, the papers are also from The Paper Shelter (did you know they did wonderful digi papers too) & are called "Lovely Bugs".  I finished off with lace & ribbon (with a bit of machine stitching), a doily, sentiment, brad & a pompom. This time I decorated the inside of the card too.  You can win $20 to spend on The Paper Shelter website and if you have used one of their images on your creation but even if you haven't they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, so you have nothing to loose :o)  I hope you can join us.

This is the inside of the card

My Hero!

Time for the Sentimental Sundays challenge (is it really a week since the last one!) & this week the theme is "My Hero" & this week our generous sponsor is Dude Time Doodles :)  For my card I used this wonderful "Superboy" image from Jellypark & coloured him with ProMarkers.  The paper is digi, I freehand cut a (sort of) star background & finished off with punched stars, computer generated greeting & some staples.  There are many different ways to interpret  this theme so I hope you will be able to join us :)

Crafty Catz - Use a Digi Image
Crafts for Eternity - 3 of a Kind (stars)

I hope you've had a good week - we're really short staffed at work at the moment so I'm glad it's a short week this week (though it will be busy cos people will be worried about running out of their prescriptions over Easter & cos the children are off school & then there's the people on holiday. who forget to bring their meds...)  Luckily we have the week after Easter off  :D
