My VERY Favourite Pocket Letters :o)

We all like happy mail & those who read my blog will know that I have recently got into making Pocket Letters (which are a sort of cross between ATC's & scrapbooking...with little goodies included) & you can imagine how excited when I received 3 envelopes in the post addressed to Nanny Tracey.  My 3 adorable grandchildren had all made me a Pocket Letter.  You can see that we are a crafty family & all love art & craft & are always creating something :o)

This one is Ryan's who is 10
This one is Abigail's who is 7
& this one is Bethany's who is 4
I've nearly finished the ones to send back to them & will post pics when they are finished.  I hope your all having a great Saturday & enjoy the rest of the weekend :o)

I Know I Say This Every Week But...

Thank goodness it's the weekend lol  Even though it was a short week (with the bank holiday) it has seemed like a long week at work cos we have been so short staffed & busy.  The week started well though as I had a stall selling my handmade jewellery at a Body, Mind & Spirit Festival (very interesting) & I was so chuffed to sell quite a few things & get lots of positive feedback :D I will be putting some more photos on my Jewellery Blog when I can find the time :)

Oops I forgot to smile ;)
Anyway on to this weeks Di's Digi Challenge which is "Back to School".  I made this card for my lil granddaughter Aibigail who starts "proper" school next week, moving up from nursery.  The image I used is called "School Days" & I coloured it with ProMarkers, cut it out & added it to an oval die cut out of cloud paper (both papers are digi & from Zoe Pearn at The Sweet Shoppe).  I finished off with a bow, gems & computer generated sentiment.  This week we have a prize package for Sweet Stamps up for grabs too!

The challenges:
Creative Belli - Back to School (I've had the heart gem & bow ages)
Simon Says - Anything Goes
Sassy Cheryl - Back to School!
I Love ProMarkers - Anything Goes
Fussy & Fancy - Back to School
CAS-ual Fridays - Back to School (CAS)
Pixie Dust Studio - The Bell is Ringing

Have a wonderful weekend whatever you're up to - I'm catching up with some crafting while hubby's playing footy this afternoon & tomorrow morning & tomorrow afternoon we're going to meet Stu (youngest son) for a bit to eat (hooray no cooking!).

Paper Pretties - Monday Wotnots (Monday Again Already?!)

More great digi releases at Paper Pretties again today & I've used this cute elephant one (I love elephants) which is called "Ian Laurent".  He coloured with ProMarkers, Sakura glitter gel pens & chalk.  The papers are called "Chasing Rainbows" by Zoe Pearn from Sweet Shoppe Designs.  Ooh nearly forgot to say I didn't make a card this time but altered a filofax, I love these as they are so handy (but this one is for my lil grandaughter Abigail who loves elephants even more than I do lol).  The finishing touches are ribbon, brads, punched butterflies, rub-on letters, some gems & pearls & I stamped {heart} You.

Sentimental Sundays Challenge - Let It Snow!

I hope you're all having a fabulous weekend, I can't believe how close Christmas is (& how unorganised I am lol, though I am getting there).  I felt extra Christmassy yesterday as I went to the Christmas Spectacular at Thursford (a Christmas variety show) which was fab :)

Anyway... on to the challenge at Sentimental Sundays this week which is "Let It Snow!", so a good opportunity  to get on with those last minute Christmas cards (of which I have lots!).  My card is made with a Snowman stamp I've had for years (sorry can't remember make/name) & the image coloured with Twinkling H2os.  The papers are digi & the sentiment is from Raindrop Echo's New Christmas Sentiments  available from Whimsy Stamps; there are some fabulous designs in this set & perfect for last minute cards. I added a sticky ribbon, flowers, brad, staples & gems.  There are gorgeous cards from the rest of the DT team & don't forget the free sentiments every week too!

The challenges:
City Crafter - Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!
ABC  - J is for Jewels (& Gems)
Pixie Dust - Let It Snow!
Frosted Designs - Ribbon
Digital Tuesday - Baby It's Cold Outside
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Christmas Card

On the subject of Snow - here are my 2 Grandchildren Ryan & Abigail having fun in the snow :)

Something New For Me...

This is my first scrapbook page (I know you can probably tell lol) which I made for this week's For Fun challenge which is to make a Goodbye Summer Scrap Page & I did enjoy making it, mainly cos it meant looking at photos of my 2 gorgeous grandchildren & I was also able to use some foam stickers that I'd had for ages too.  The papers I've had in my stash for ages & I finished off with some word stickers & I made a pinwheel with a gem for the centre.

I'm entering this page for these challenges:
Charizma - Hot, Hot, Hot!!!
Crafty Sentiments - Summer Inspiration
Daisy Doodles - Anything Goes
By the Cute & Girly - Indian Summer

Have a great Wednesday - I'm off to the dentist for more root canal treatment & absolutely hate the dentist & am feeling sick already :(

A Bag for Abigail

Several of my colleagues at work have started knitting & as I used to knit when the children were little I thought I'd have another go - we have a knit & knatter group once a month & that is basically the only time I have time to actually do any knitting (what with everything else  & not least of all my paper crafting lol).  This is my first attempt for a long while & I know it's not much & was very simple (it needed to be simple as it really isn't that easy to talk & follow a pattern).  My granddaughter Abigail is a real girly girl & loves handbags (as you can see from the photo - she has 3 bags on the go lol) so I made this for her.  I'm entering this for the Creatalicious challenge which is 3D (& doesn't have to be a card).

Isn't she Sweet, I can't wait to see her & her brother Ryan when they come to stay this week - & no work for me!  Hooray!

Happy Birthday Abigail!

It is my precious little granddaughter Abigail's 2nd birthday today. Unfortunately she lives in Kent so we couldn't be with her but we did talk to her on the computer & see her pressies on the webcam :) (she looked so pretty in her princess dress). This card was made for her as she loves elephants.

The image I used was from Karen's Doodles & it called Rosie Loves to Dance. I coloured the image in with my Prismas, used glitter paper & the cupcake papers are from Scrapbooking Mad. I used my Martha Stewart border punch & finished the card off with stamped flowers, gems & a computer generated greeting.

This card fits 5 challenges:
ABC - Layering
Create4fun - Sketch
Creative Belli- Glitter or Rhinestones
Incy Wincy- Bling it Up!!!!
Pile it On - Anything Digital

Quick(ish) Card :-)

Every week or so I make my gorgeous grandson Ryan a card (ALWAYS with cars, lorries or buses on cos he is crazy about them), I also have a beautiful granddaughter, Abigail & although she is only 18 months old I thought I would make her a card this time too (even though I know that she will pull it to pieces lol). The card was made using papers and image from Scrapbooking Mad. I used my Nesties & my sewing machine, Glamour Dust for her wings & some heart gems & buttons.

I have just found 2 New Challenges:
CCEE Stampers - Let's Go Digital
Three Clovers - Think Pink!

1st Christmas Card

I made this Christmas card for my gorgeous lil grand-daughter Abigail.

It is for 2 challenges: Cupcake whose challenge is "Spots & Dots" & A Spoon Full of Sugar's challenge is "A Child's Card". The fairy is a download from Pollycraft & I added glitter glue. The spotty background paper was stamped with snowflakes & I also added a lots of peel offs (yes I actually used some of my hundreds of peel offs that I've had for years lol). The card was finished off with a snowflake attached with a gem brad.

I've got lots of family cards to make before we go visiting next weekend so I better get a move on.
