Winter Friend

Hooray, day off today! But boy does the time go quick lol. I made this card for 5 challenges & luckily it is a Christmas card, I am sooo behind with my Christmas cards this year I think I've made about 8 when I've usually made 50 + lol.

The papers are from Designer Digitals & I inked the edges, the image & sentiment are from Elzybells & I've used glitter glue & a tiny bit of Polar White snow soft on his hat (I'm just getting to grips with this lol). The card is finished off with a snowflake & lots of tiny gems.

The 5 challenges are:
Willow Stetchie - Sketch!
Elzybells - Tempting Textures
Cupcake - Snow Much Fun
Papertake - Digi Sparkle
Susie's Sassy Designs - Christmas (1st Challenge)

Oooh I'm so excited (isn't that a song lol) I've been chosen to be on Lexi's Creations DT & she has a new challenge starting on Monday 16th of November so why not check it out :)

Meet Scruffles

Lexi is having a DT challenge as she is having her designs made into stamps & she has given us this gorgeous doggy image called Scruffles to play with. I coloured him in with Prismas (as usual) & added glitter to his hat. The papers are from my Christmas stash, I added a bit of velum, a tag some holly stickers & a greeting.

I used the sketch from Just Christmas and Birthday Cards & the Papertake Weekly challenge is "Spots n Stripes". I had to scan my card cos it's too late to get a good photo & Lexi's challenge finishes tomorrow so had to get it blogged tonight :)

Surprise Candy!

We all love candy (especially the non-fattening kind) & we all love a surprise (well I do lol) & over at the Crafty Chatter blog they have the chance to win Surprise Blog Candy! You just need to follow a few simple rules & enter before 22nd November & while you're there why not check out the rest of the blog, there's some interesting stuff on there :-)

Cup Cake Tilly

I found a great new blog which has a competition & a free digi image - how fab is that! Wendy's Digital Doodling has this gorgeous "Cup Cake Tilly" Image which I coloured in with my Prismacolor pencils & added a touch of Glamour Dust to the hearts. The flowers & leaves are punched (& also coloured with Prismas to match the colours). The papers are from Designer Digitals & are called "Little Tea House", the card is finished off with a greeting, ribbon & pearls.

The challenge at Daring Cardmakers this week is "Getting Punchy With It", A Spoon Full of Sugar's challenge this week is "Kitchen/Cooking" & I used the sketch from The Fresh Batch.

I've got a new camera & I'm still getting to grips with it lol so the photos are a bit hit & miss at the mo but I'm sure I will suss it out & the weather is dark & dire here with torrential rain (poor hubby & son are playing footy so they will be absolutely drenched- I'm definitely in the best place).

Willow Sketchie

I have had the most traumatic day today :-( I start work at 7.45 am on Fridays & always bike to work but unfortunately this morning I got knocked off my bike, the car came straight out the end of the road, didn't look & hit me. I was so shook up but was grateful I could get up & walk. The driver did stop to ask me how I was & I am soo annoyed cos I didn't get his details. I thought my bike was ok until I started to ride the handle bar was twisted but at least I managed to bike to work. Once the shock wore off I started to ache & now everything is hurting.

At least I managed to do a bit of crafting this evening which took my mind off all the stress. This card was made using Zoe's fab sketch for Willow Sketchie. The papers are from Scrapbook Mad & that gorgeous image is by Toodles & Binks. I stamped & cut out some flowers & added buttons to the centres. I'm off to bed hoping I have a better day tomorrow lol.

Friday Sketchers Challenge

What a horrible rainy day it is today but at least it's my day off & I haven't got anything to do apart from crafting (& a bit of housework but there's ALWAYS housework lol). It is getting really cold now though so I think the heating will have to go on soon.

This card was made using the Friday Sketchers fab sketch. The papers are from Designer Digitals which I inked around the edges & punched a border with my EK success punch.I used another Pink Cat Studio digi image ( I luv these soo much). The finishing touches are die cut swirls & flowers with a button & thread & the greeting is from Pink Petticoat.

Favourite Embellishment?

The challenge at PaperPlay this week is to use your favourite embellishment & this got me thinking could you have just "one"? The conclusion I came to is NO lol, well I can't anyway I love charms & flowers & gems (& quite a few other things too).

For this card I used the fab sketch from Bee Crafty, the papers are from SBM. This cute image is from Pink Cat Studio's new digi downloads (check them out they are fab!) I'm definitely going to be getting more of these. The flowers are a range of punched & felt (cut from a border) & the card is finished with ribbon, charms, gems & a stamped greeting. I'm also entering this for the Stamp Something challenge which is "Bling".

Scrap Online!

What a great idea this is "Scrap Online" (SOL) & Marlene hosted one on Wednesday. The idea (if I can manage explain it) is that the host posts on their blog the sizes of card stock & papers that are needed the day before so you can have these all cut ready to assemble your card. Then on the day/start time of the SOL the first step to make your card is posted & then further steps are posted every 5 minutes.

This is the quickest I've ever made a card but what great fun :-) (apart from the finishing off which took 3 days lol) . Here is my finished card which is nowhere near as amazing as Marlene's (you have to check it out!).

This card fits Kraftin' Kimmie's 2nd challenge which is "Buttons". The papers are DCWV, Pocket Full of Posies, the image is Miss Anya (I love these images) and the card is finished with flowers, buttons, ribbon, greeting & pearls.
