Chistmas IS Coming!

& don't I know it I am sooo behind with everything (including this post).  The challenge at The Paper Shelter Is "Christmas is Coming" & I used my favourite snowman (I adore this lil fella & use him lots).  I coloured him with Prismacolor pencils & added some Stickles glitter glue, I kept it fairly simple (lack of time) finishing off with some ribbon, a die cut snowflake, button, twine & punched tag. (sorry the photo is rubbish but haven't had time to get a better one). Me & hubby are off work this week & hoping to get all the Christmas pressies sorted (well maybe not all lol) & so I have no time for crafting as I'm spending time with him & trying to catch up with other stuff we don't have time for when we're at work. So I've gotta be quick.

As always our very generous sponsors are Veronica and Pedro from The Paper Shelter, and as it their 2nd Birthday in soon we shall be holding a special event with both teams so keep your eyes open for that, it will be on the 3rd December. Anyway The Paper Shelter have a fabulous prize to give away and that is a voucher for $30.  So I hope you can join us.

The challenges:
Crimbo Crackers - Anything Goes
Little Claire's - Christmas
Crafts & Me - Ribbon or Trim
The Crafty Pad - Add Some Glitter
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Polka Doodles - Any Die Will Do

I hope you're all having a wonderful week :)

Get Well with Sentimental Sundays

This week's challenge at Sentimental Sundays is (as the title suggests) "Get Well".  I made a CAS card, mainly cos of time restraints again.  I love these "Distinguished" papers from The Paper Shelter & I inked the edges with Distress Ink (Walnut Stain), I punched & border & finished off with some gems.  The greeting is from Whimsy Stamps (I think).  I have pierced some holes around the edges but you can't really see in the photo (it was going to be sewn but my sewing machine decided not to work).

Totally Gorjuss - Plain & Simple
Penny's - Anything Goes

Easily Does It!

I hope you're all having a great week, I am so glad today is my day off as we have been sooo short staffed at work & I don't think I could have made it through another day at the pace we have been having to work lol.  As it is Wednesday there is a new challenge at The Paper Shelter & this week it is "Easily Does It", to make an easel card with a Christmas theme (thank goodness as I really need to make more Christmas cards).  I used this cute TPS image called "Are You Ready My Friend?" & went round the edges with my Quickie glue pen & some Glamour Dust.  The papers were free with this month's Papercraft Essentials magazine ( the one with my card on the front ;o) ) & I finished off with some pompom trim, flower & shaker sentiment.  If you play with a Paper Shelter image/design you have the chance of winning a gift voucher worth a whopping $30! All to spend in The Paper Shelter store & even if you don't use TPS images there is still the chance to win 3 of their fabulous images :)

The challenges:
Christmas Cards All Year 'Round - Shaped or Fancy Folds
Sparkle Creations - Christmas (option Snowman)
Crafty Sentiments - Christmas
LEJ - Seasons Greetings
Crafty Bloggers Network - Christmas Anything Goes
Krafty Hands - Christmas in November

Thanks for looking & I hope you can join us :o)

Sunday 11 November 2012

Arrrrgggghh....

Why are there not enough hours in the day/days in the week/weeks in a month etc...  In January I said to myself I will be super organised this year & start making my Christmas cards now, which I did.  Why then by November do I only have about 11 made (& I've sold most of them so goodness only knows what I will be giving to my nearest & dearest lol - CAS all the way I think!).  I did start to get ahead with my DT  stuff recently but that's all slipped again :( I was at a craft fayre all day yesterday which went really well :D but I have 3 more before Christmas & have to find time to replenish my jewellery stock (why do I have to go to work!, ooh yeah just remembered to pay for my crafty bits to use lol).

Hence I'm late posting my card for this week's Di's Digi Challenge, which this time is "Fall Colours".  I coloured the cute image with ProMarkers & finished off with some die cuts, flowers, greeting & gems.  I hope you will have time to join us :)

The challenges:
Forever Friends - Anything Goes
Crafty Catz - Anything Goes
Pattie's Creations - Birthday
Raise the Bar - Birthday Theme

I rest my case - it is already Sunday lunchtime & hubby will be back from footy soon, luckily dinner is all under control lol.  I hope you all have a fabulous Sunday & that it doesn't go too quickly.

Dimensions at Sentimental Sundays

Yes, this week the challenge at Sentimental Sundays is "Dimensions" & our sponsor is Doodle Pantry :D  I kept my card really simple this time & used an idea I got from Liz at Pink Petticoat which is handy for using up scraps of papers.  I hope you're all having a great weekend.  I am feeling a bit rough (nothing much, just a bit of a cold, hopefully it won't get worse) & spent yesterday sorting my beads & findings out & doing a bit of jewellery making & today I have a special birthday card to make & we are going to try a new restaurant out for lunch (nothing posh lol but it was recommended to me by a friend so thought we'd give it a go), beats cooking any day!

The challenges:
Creative Inspirations - Let's Celebrate
C.R.A.F.T. - Birthday
Penny's - Birthdays
Paper Crafting Journey - Ribbon or Twine
ATC's & Cards With Attitude - Add a Sentiment/Anything Goes
Raise the Bar - Anything Goes

Back to Nature

This week the challenge at Jellypark Friends is "Back to Nature" & I used this cute "Squirrel - I'm Nuts About You" digital stamp which I coloured with ProMarkers.  I used some Kraft card & muslin fabric, the sentiment & flowers all come with the image :).

The challenges:
Kaboodle Doodles - Fall Themed
Card Makin Mamas - Anything Goes
Pixie Dust Studio - Looking For Leaves
Stamp n Doodle - Let's Add Some Material

As it's Friday there are 2 fabulous new digital images released at Jellypark & I thought I'd try & used the Giraffe image as a pattern to make a felt toy/decoration & I was quite pleased with how it turned out :)
I'm really glad it's Friday, 5'oclock can't come soon enough for me!  I hope you've all had a good week & enjoy the weekend.
