All Thing's New

This fortnight's Di's Digi Challenge is (as the title suggests) "All Things New".  I chose Di's gorgeous "Cute Slumber" & coloured it with ProMarkers.  As you can see I've been playing with my new trimmer as all the edges are cut with the Victorian blade.  The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat & the paper (not digi!) is from a stack called "Up, Up & Away" from First Edition.  I finished the card with gems, flowers, ribbon & Glamour Dust.  Our fabulous sponsor this time is Joanna Sheen & there is the chance to win a $10 voucher to spend on some (more) crafty goodies :D

The challenges:
Dutch Dare - My Favorite Things (Di's Images, Glitter, Gems)
Crafts & Me - Anything Goes
Bearly Mine - Anything Goes
Simon Says - Anything Goes
Aud Sentiments - Anything Goes
For Fun - New (thanks for the heads up Helen)

Have a great weekend everyone :D

Last Challenge of the Year at Stampin' for the Weekend

Today is the start of SFTW's last challenge of 2011 which is a nice easy (in fact the easiest) one: "Anything Goes".  We have 3 wonderful sponsors - The Little Pretty Ribbon Shop, Love to Stamp & Bugaboo & I used a Bugaboo image on my card which is the last Christmas card of the year (but I'm gonna have to start again in January as I was so behind this year).  Poor hubby had to wait til last to get his card but at least I got it done with a few days to spare.  I coloured my "Little Penguin Winter" image with ProMarkers, the papers were from my stash, I added a pompom to his hat & finished off with some stamped bunting, greeting, glitter & a bell.  There are some fabulous creations from the other DT members so why not check them out & get lots of inspiration too :)

The Challenges:
Passion for ProMarkers - Celebrations
Papertake - Last Christmas Card of the Year
Everybody Art - Anything Goes
Creative Inspirations - Anything Goes

I am slightly late with my DT card this week, but have amazed myself that I'm not later & the fact that I got it done at all with all the stuff I've got still to do :) (I LOVE this time of the year & being busy - I just wish there were more hours in the day... or even better I didn't have to go to work lol).   This week Di's Digi challenge is "Christmas", perfect for those last minute Christmas cards.  The image I used is called "Penguin Love" & I coloured it with ProMarkers adding rainbow glitter & Glamour Dust, the papers were free with a mag & I finished off with a flower, brad, charm, greeting & gems.  Our fabulous sponsor this time is: There She Goes Clear Rubber Stamps.  I hope you can find time to join us :)

Anything But a Card...

I know you will find this hard to believe but this creation has nothing to do with Christmas! (apart from the fact that it could be a Christmas pressie that is).  The challenge at Jellypark Friends this week is "ABC- Anything But a Card".  I have been so short of time lately that I had to try & make something that didn't take too long so I used my Ultimate Pro to make a box using Basic Grey card stock & the "Clothes, Shoes, Handbag Shop" digital stamp, which is one of today's new releases.  I paper pieced the shop & dress & coloured the rest with ProMarkers.  The finishing touches were Glamour Dust (almost obligatory lol), a circle flower, ribbon & brad.  The box is filled with some childrens jewellery that I made.  The DT have absolutely excelled themselves for this challenge so I hope you will check their designs out & that you can find time to join us (& perhaps make some last minute Christmas gifts).

The challenges:
Really Reasonable Ribbon - Anything Goes (with ribbon)
Delightful - Anything Goes
The Crafty Pad - Send Someone a Smile... No Christmas or Birthday Cards
One Stitch at a Time - Use a Digi
The Paper Variety - Anything Goes
Anything Goes - Anything But a Card

I'm sorry I haven't had much time for commenting lately but work has been very busy & I've (still) got lots of stuff to sort out for Christmas (I love this time of year!).  Hopefully I will soon be organised & be able to visit all your fabulous blogs :o)

Friday 9 December 2011

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

Just in case you didn't notice we are well into the festive season lol.  So this time the challenge at Stampin' for the Weekend is just that - "Christmas".  This is great for me as I still have quite a few cards to make (the ones for special family & friends).  I kept this card quite clean & simple (mainly cos I didn't have much time).  The papers & flowers were from a Craftwork Cards Christmas goody bag & the snowman is a digital image from DigiStamp Boutique.  I finished the card off with some glitter & pearls.  Our fabulous sponsor this time is Simon Says Stamp & have the chance to win a $20 to spend in their online store - no excuses not to join us ;)

The challenges:
Bunny Zoe - Anything Christmas With Pearls
PaperPlay - Snowman
Creative Card Crew - Tis the Season
DigiStamp Boutique - December Competition
Bearly Mine - Un-Traditional Christmas
The Paper Variety - Inspired by a Christmas Song (Frosty the Snowman)
ABC - Yipeee Anything Christmassy

I hope you're having a wonderful week.  It's been a bit strange since our youngest son moved out just over a week ago but he has been to tea twice & we've been to visit him once so it's not been so bad (& there is LOT's less washing & ironing lol). Thanks for looking & if you have time to fit in the challenge - good luck :)

The Jellypark Friends challenge this time is "Fa La La Felt" so we would like to see felt somewhere on your project.  I'm still plodding on with my Christmas cards lol but now it's December I'm starting to feel Christmasy so that makes it slightly easier (I wish I could make them a bit quicker though, I spend ages moving bits & pieces around the card lol).  I used one of this week's fabulous new releases on my card aptly called "Couple Kissing Under The Mistletoe". I used chalks again for a softer feel, the papers are digi & I finished off with a handmade flower, including a felt flower (added at the last minute cos I forgot what the challenge was this time - Doh!).  I finished off with a giant brad, some beads, greeting & lots of Glamour Dust.  Whether you're still making or your Christmas cards or they're all done & dusted I hope you will be able to join us & why not check out the other DT members for lots more inspiration :)

This week's challenge at The Paper Shelter is "Anything Goes" (perhaps a chance to catch up on those Christmas cards if you're unorganised like me lol).  I love this cute Father Christmas image & as I've got so much on at the moment I opted for the coloured version for quickness :D (I love the fact that you get black & white outline or already coloured images from TPS).  The papers are digi & distressed & I finished the card off with ribbons, beads, doily, flower, sentiment & lots of gold Glamour Dust.

Not a great photo but you get the idea :)

Hopefully you can see this post as I'm scheduling it as I'm at the NEC Hobby Crafts show for the weekend so I can't check it lol (That's also why I've not entered it in any challenges).  Have a fabulous weekend whatever you're doing & if you're at the NEC I hope you have fun & get lots of crafty goodies!

The challenge this time at SFTW is a sketch, I love sketches & find they are always a good starting point for a card :)  The image is from Heather Ellis & coloured with ProMarkers, with some Polar White Flower soft & pearls added.
