World Card Day - 4th October

According to Ink Stained Roni 4th October is World Card Day & she is offering a draw for candy on her blog to those who link their card to her site. So here is my card, it has no particular theme but is just a cute girly card, I even got the needle & cotton out & sewed the buttons on! The papers are various papers from my stash as I have a HUGE box full & they need to get used lol

More Blog Candy!

Martha has some really cute candy on offer on her blog, Nice Star. You just need to link to your favourite card that you have made :o)

Cupcake Card

I made this card using the Cupcake Challenge sketch. The papers & Forever Friends stamp were presents for my birthday a couple of weeks ago from the lovely Linda. I added flowers with cupcakes cut from one of the Forever Friends papers, added a Stampin' Up Rivetin greeting & a stamped handbag image.

Blog Candy :-)

Vikki is offering some fab Candy on her blog so why not go check it out (& her fab blog while you're at it :-) )

Kaboodle Doodles Challenge & Free Download :-)

The Kaboodle Doodles challenge is nice & easy this week - to use the free download & create anything you like with it. For some strange reason I made a Christmas card lol - what is it with me & Christmas cards at the moment?

I love this paper & cut a scalloped edge & combined it with paper from Kaboodle Doodles "Green" paper kit. I used a bauble topper from the lovely Kath (by Crafty Bitz I think) used my fav HOTP press swirly stamp & finished off with ribbon, gems & a stamped & embossed greeting.

Baby Girl Card

I made this card for a friend at work whose son's partner is having a baby & is due in a couple of weeks. As they already know that it's a girl I thought I'd be orgnaised & make the card ready :-)

I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers. The main backing paper (spotty) is from Kaboodle Doodles & I'm not sure where the other ones are from. The stamped images are by Woodware & I added a ribbon, brad & flower. I had to handwrite the tag cos my printers out of action at the moment & I didn't have a suitable sentiment.

Another Christmas Card!

Phew, at this rate they will all be made by November lol. It's handy making cards for challenges cos I would never usually start making my Christmas cards until at least October & I already have a few made :-)

This card was made for the Our Creative Corner mid week challenge "Case the OCC" ("For this challenge, just pick out a gallery and case one of the girls!") I chose to "case" Lynda Benden & chose this card. I incorporated this sketch with a new challenge I found when blog hopping Stampin' When I Can & their challenge at the moment is "Snowmen!"

I used Pink Petticoat papers, a rubber stamp I've had for a few years (it was part of a TSV on QVC), which I coloured in with pearly paints & added glitter glue. Finishing off with a snowflake brad attached with my Crop-a-Dile & some ribbon.

First Whiff of Joy Challenge

Here is my entry for the fantastic new Whiff of Joy challenge. I used their Angel Charlotte stamp, the papers are Festive Frost from the English Paper Company & the border & round greeting are from Brenda Pinnock I added lots of glitter & a few gems to finish off the card. This is also my entry for the Cute Card Thursday because their challenge is "Lots of Sparkle" & this card certainly has!

3 Challenges :-)

Lovely & sunny here today so went for a nice long walk with hubby this morning. He plays footy Saturday afternoons so I've had a lovely afternoon of crafting :-)

This Christmas card was made with the Sketch Saturday sketch & the theme on Penny Black Saturday blog is "Seasons". I used the gorgeous papers that were given to me by Kath (thank you) & ANOTHER image from Linda (thank you). I finished the card off with some brads, a cute lil Christmas tree charm & a peel off greeting (it's so good to use some of the ol peel offs up lol).

Oh yes & the 3rd challenge is for Stamp Something - their challenge this week is simply that "Stamp Something".

Blue Card

Must be quick cos its getting very late & I didn't think I would be able to make a card tonight but I did managed this one :o)

It is for the My Time to Craft challenge which is "Blue!" & the Dutch Dare challenge which is "Card for a Boy/Man". I love this image (from Linda again) & I used Papermania & Pink Petticoat papers added a silver greeting, chip board tag, blue flower & a couple of brads.

Mellow Yellow for Children in Need

The challenge at Papertake is "Mellow Yellow" - "You're able to use any products/materials you like but the finished card needs to be yellow!! The preferred size for the card is a standard A6 (approx 4x6 in). All cards will be put together to form a giant Pudsey Bear card!"
I was hoping to make more than one card for this challenge but it was soo difficult keeping everything yellow I'm not sure I will be able to lol. I combined this challenge with the ABC challenge which this week is "J is for Jewels".
I used Pink Petticoat papers & a stamped image from Linda (surprise, surprise lol) which I coloured in with every shade of yellow I've got. Finished the card off with a flower, with sentiment, ribbon & some gems.

Ribbons & Lace

This weeks Funky Fairys challenge is "Ribbons & Lace". For this card I used free downloads from their Ispirations blog & added a lace & ribbon border with a sparkly butterfly & some fabric flowers & gems. The image is another one from Linda (thanks so much hun).

Autumn Card

For some reason this card has taken nearly all day to make :-( so it's a good job I'm on holiday this week lol.

Its an Autum themed card for the Arty Girlz challenge & I used a lil charm for the A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge. The papers are from Hot off the Press again & the image is one of many given to me by my dear friend Linda (I had to give Tilda a mouth I think they look like something out of the Twilight Zone movie without lol). I added punched leaves, flowers, brads & dragonfly charm.

Monday 22 September 2008

First House Mouse Challenge :-)

This card is for my first entry in the House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge, mainly because I didn't have any House Mouse stamps lol but since my birthday last week I do. Their theme this week is "Stitching" so I used my Hot off the Press stamps to create faux stitching.
It is also for the Cute Card Thursday challenge which is "Food" & this stamp is called "Berry Full" lol. The papers are also from Hot off the Press & I added flowers, buttons ribbons & a gem (for a change). The greeting is from Pink Petticoat.

Blog Candy :-)

Carole has some fab candy up for grabs over on her Blog: Stardust, Gems and Ribbon so why not pop over & have a look :-)

Kaboodle Doodles 4th Challenge

I can't believe it is Kaboodle Doodles 4th challenge this week & it is a bit of a tough one - to use "Non Traditional Embellishments" I must admit I did struggle for ideas at first but once I got crafting I really enjoyed making this card. So if you like a bit of a challenge pop over to the Kaboodle Doodles blog & have a go. There is a fab prize for the winner (chosen at random) - choice of one of the great downloads from the Kaboodle Doodles shop.

My card was made using the Kaboodle Doodles Boys Skulls & Green paper kits. I stamped both images on to magazine pages, added a little sparkle to the butterfly wings with a Sakura pen, tied some string with beads attached around the image & finshed off with a bottle top with a picture of a keyhole & gems beads & a shrink plastic flower in topped with crystal glaze.

Snowman Card

I've managed to fit in another card & 2 more challenges :o)

This card is made using one of my favourite Christmas stamps it's called "Frosty Smiles" & is by Printworks. The challenge on A Spoon Full of Sugar blog is "Christmas" & on Our Creative Corner blog it is "Chipboard" so I'v embellished the card with round chipboards with sequin snowflakes & brads on (the chipboards & sentiment are from the amazing Brenda Pinnock). These gorgeous papers are from the "Visions of Sugarplums" kit from Designs by Krista (I also used them to paper piece the snowmans scarf, band on hat & holly leaves). The finishing touch was 2 gems for holly berries.

Singing in the Rain

The challenge on Ooh-la-la Creations blog this week is "Singing in the Rain" & I thought this gorgeous image given to me by Linda would be just perfect. I incorporated 2 more challenges: Stamp Something which is "Embellish Something" (& I've used brads & flowers) & the SBS 18 challenge which is "Thank You". The papers I used are from the Blossom & Spring Breeze kits from Designs by Krista.

New Stamps :-)

It was my birthday yesterday & I had a fantastic day, needless to say I got lots of lovely craft stuff & quite a few new stamps. This card is made with the Funky Fairys sketch using my new House Mouse stamp "Chocolate Heart" & as I got lots of choccies & I think crafting & chocolate go hand in hand I thought it was very appropriate lol. The papers are free from the Funky Fairys Inspiration blog & I finished the card off with a Stampin Up stamped greeting, brads & padded flowers.

NB. Since scanning the card I have put a purple gem in the middle of the 2 white flowers & this finishes off better i think :-)

In the Doghouse

Another card using new birthday stuff :-) The stamp is from Elzybells & the papers were from Zoe (along with lots of other gorgeous goodies).
I made this card for 2 challenges: the sketch is from Sketch Saturday & the theme on Cute Card Thursday blog is "Cats & Dogs". I added a couple of buttons - a bone & a lil doggy.

Another Card!

Phew! Just managed to fit in another card before bedtime. This card is made with 1 of my fab new Forever Friends Celebration stamps & also the Party Time papers which were birthday pressies from my dear friend Linda. The sketch used was from Friday Sketchers & the theme on on Arty Girlz is "Birthday" because they are celebrating their 1st birthday. I finished the card off with ribbons, flowers & a stamped greeting.

Ooh & I forgot to say (I don't know how cos I'm so excited lol) that I won the Willow Designs competition to design a stamp with my drawing of a Christmas tree :-)

Monday 15 September 2008

Seasons Greetings

This Christmas card was made for the ABC challenge which is "H is for Holidays". I used the Our Creative Corner sketch. The blue papers are from Kaboodle Doodles Pink & Blue kit & the striped paper is from The English Paper Company. I used Dovecraft stamps & finished off with sequin snowflakes & gems.

Kaboodle Doodle Challenge

This weeks Kaboodle Doodles Challenge is "Tearing it Up". For my card I used Kaboodle Doodles Harry Loves Stars papers with a fab stamp from Willow Designs, a greeting from Pink Petticoat & finished it off with ribbons, brads & flowers & I even sewed a charm onto the bow lol.

A Spoon Full of Sugar & Lots to Do

I made this card for 2 challenges: the sketch is from A Spoon Full of Sugar & the challenge on Lots To Do this week is "A Recipe" - striped paper, 1 brad, 2 buttons, a piece of ribbon & a stamped image. The paper is from Kaboodle Doodles "All Star" kit & the greeting is Pink Petticoat.

Bright Card

I have a few birthday cards to make for friends & family so am trying to be quick(ish). This card was also for the My Time to Craft challenge which is "Bright & Bold". This stamped image is from my dear friend Linda who also sent me a gorgeous handmade folder filled with images which came in the post today & really made my day. The paper & lil tag are from Kaboodle Doodles "Mini Girl Card Kit", the stamped greeting is by Cuddly Buddly. I finished it off with some brads.

Monday 8 September 2008

3 Challenges Today :-)

I had an awful day at work today (I work in a doctors surgery) - the letters for the flu clinics have just been sent out & everyone (& his wife) must have phoned up to make an appointment today even though the clinics are not until October & Monday is the busiest day of the week anyway (people making ordinary appointments, requesting vists, ordering perscriptions etc after the weekend). Felt like I had gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson when I finished lol my head has only just stopped spinning.

I'm soo excited though cos it's my birthday next week & I'm getting a new computer which came today! (although it's still in the box lol - I'm waiting for my son Craig to visit cos he's going to set it up for me). I will have lots more room for dowloads & stuff :o)

I mangaged to make one card tonight which is for 3 challenges: I used the sketch from CPS, Cute Card Thursday theme this week is "Pretty in Pink" & the Penny Black Saturday challenge is "one for the girls".

I haven't got that many Penny Black stamps though I do love them so I tried to make this one (Cinnamon) look a bit different by cutting the image out. I used more free papers from Papercraft Essentials magazine. I chalked a white flower pink& added chipboard to the centre. I finished off with a rub-on greeting.

Sunday 7 September 2008

Time to Relax

Well this is my last time to relax before work at 8 am tomorrow :o(

This card was made for the SBS 18 challenge this week which is "Relax" & I used the fab sketch from the Daring Cardmakers challenge.

The papers I used are another fab kit from Designs by Krista (this one is called Mother's Joy). The stamped image is one of many sent to me by the very generous Linda. I finished off with punched flowers, a button, a ribbon, a gem & spelt the word Relax with a Doodlebug alphabet.

Trick or Treat!

Hmmm... I know it's very early for Halloween lol but the challenge on Stamp Something this week is "Fall Somethings" so I made this Halloween card using the sketch from Papertake.

I used gorgeous rich papers from Designs by Krista, surprisingly the kit is called ... Trick or Treat the Pumpkin image is also in the kit (as well as lots of other fab papers/images). I stamped the words with alphabet stamps (I've had these ages so I'm not sure but I think they are from Anna Griffin). I finished off with some ribbons :o)

2nd Kaboodle Doodles Challenge

As a thank you to you all who entered the very first Kaboodle Doodles challenge we would like to give the prize of a free download of choice to EVERYONE !! So if you can send us an email with your chosen download from the Kaboodle Doodles website to kaboodledoodle@hotmail.co.uk, we can get them sent out to you!

Right on to this weeks challenge: "Feeling Spotty" we would like to see spots somewhere on your creation. I used Kaboodle Doodles Party Picnic papers for this challenge & cut a lil cupcake from the paper & attached to a button in the middle of the flower. The image is by Penny Black.

Saturday 6 September 2008

Gift Card

I've been offline for a couple of days but luckily my lovely son Craig who is a computer wiz (& I'm a very proud mum lol) managed to sort it out for us :o) & also as work has been soooo busy (& stressful) I haven't had much time (or energy) for crafting / blogging.

I' haven't done hardly any challenges this week but luckily managed to fit a couple in tonight at last. This Birthday card was made for the ABC challenge which is now up to G for "Gift" & the Dutch Dare which is to "Use Buttons on your Card".

The stamped image is another Elzybells from Zoe again (I love these cute girly images) & the paper was free with Papercraft Essentials magazine. I also used chipboard flowers, sticky ribbon buttons & a couple of gems.

Wednesday 3 September 2008

Friday Sketchers

Phew, managed to fit one more card in lol.

This card was made with the Friday Sketchers sketch. I used papers from the fab "Bloomin" kit from Designs by Krista. I love this stamped image which was given to me by Zoe & I coloured it in with Sakura glitter pens & pearly paints, added a ribbon, a few gems & a Cuddly Buddly stamped image on a punched flower.

(Hmm I think I'd better clean my scanner lol the marks are not on the card.)

Animal Birthday Card

I made this card for the My Time to Craft challenge this week which is "Animals". It will be for my neices birthday as she loves horses though looking at it I think it might be a donkey but hopefully what ever it is she will like it.

I used papers & elements from Nitwits collections, this one is called "Funny Farm", my new round stamps from Cuddly Buddly, added some fabric flowers & some gems :-)

It's been my day off & I haven't had much time for crafting :-( (unfortunately I had lots of housework etc to catch up on). Why does time always go quicker on my day off? Perhaps I can catch up after tea (fingers crossed).
