Catching Up...(be warned it's a long post)

Wow! That was a busy week, starting last Friday with us having our 3 grandchildren to stay until Tuesday (son & DIL were at a wedding but came back to ours to stay on Sunday night too) & then work has been ridiculously busy & short staffed, with 2 people on holiday & one person off sick (& that is nearly half our team). So I am trying to have a catch-up with everything this weekend.  Starting with Sentimental Sundays challenge which this week is "Child's Play" (with a sentiment) & I used this cute coloured image from TPS called "Happy Times", the papers are digi (I have a new printer at last) & I finished the card with string, die cut banner, greeting & staples.  We are sponsored this week by Sweet & Sassy & I hope you can find time to join us :o)

New Di's Digi Challenge

Hello everyone, I hope you've had a lovely week, I have as I have been on holiday from work this week & the weather has been gorgeous (we did have to do a bit of decorating but luckily that only took a couple of days).  The down side is that the week has flown by :o(  At least we still have the weekend to enjoy :o)  This week's Di's Digi Challenge is "Wedding/Anniversary" & I used Di's wonderful image called "Sweet Moments" which I coloured with ProMarkers.  The papers are DCWV & have a bit of sparkle to them.  I used a wide piece of lace for a border & finished the card with various flowers, a punched heart & butterfly, pearls, heart pin, sentiment (from Pink Petticoat) & a stamped ticket.  The wedding season is in full flow so I hope you will be able to join us, ooh nearly forgot to mention our fab sponsor is "The Cutting Cafe".

Phew!  I'm so glad it's the weekend as work has been manic especially yesterday.  I definitely need time to recharge my batteries lol.  Today sees the start of a new Di's Digi Challenge & this time it is "Paper Piecing".  The image I used is called "Little Pippa", isn't she just the cutest.  I coloured her with ProMarkers & the papers are My Minds Eye "Howdy Doody".  I finished the card with ribbon, pearls, various flowers, a greeting & doily.  Our fab sponsor is "There She Goes", I hope you can join us.

Beautiful Borders

Hello everyone :o)  I hope you've had a good week.  I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things after our amazing holiday in Croatia.  So I'm glad it's over (the week, not our holiday) & I can try & catch up on what I like doing best (apart from eating cake & drinking tea ;) lol) - crafting of course!  This week Di's Digi Challenge is "Beautiful Borders" & the image I used is "Little Ted's Balloon" which I coloured with ProMarkers.  The papers are digi & I did a little bit of machine stitching.  The border is a Memory Box die cut from foam & I finished the card off with flowers, pearls, gems & a greeting.  (The card is actually recycled from one I made a while ago but didn't use).

Brrrrrr...It's Cold Outside

I hope you've all had a wonderful week, mine has been very busy so I'm really glad it's the weekend :D  We have had lots of snow so I had to walk to work yesterday instead of using my trusty bike  & it took ages but it was nice & quiet at 7.30 am (not so quiet or nice when I finished at 5 pm though). I can't believe how close it is to Christmas & how unorganised I am (& it's not through want of trying, I started making my cards in January lol).  This weekend I'm definitely putting the tree up in fact I'm going in the loft to get it & the trimmings down when I've finished this post :D  Di's Digi Challenge this week is "Christmas Creation - Anything But a Card" & I made a lil gift box using my Ultimate Pro, I printed some Pink Petticoat papers on to thin card & added a ribbon & flower.  The image I used is "Christmas Cheers", which I chalked & added some Glamour Dust, gems & Aleene's Glitter Snow.  Now is the opportunity to make some Christmas decorations, gifts or packaging so I hope you will join us.

I hope you're all more organised than me & having a lovely weekend.  Once I've got the tree up we are going to watch a Christmas movie (after Strictly of course) :D

Arrrrgggghh....

Why are there not enough hours in the day/days in the week/weeks in a month etc...  In January I said to myself I will be super organised this year & start making my Christmas cards now, which I did.  Why then by November do I only have about 11 made (& I've sold most of them so goodness only knows what I will be giving to my nearest & dearest lol - CAS all the way I think!).  I did start to get ahead with my DT  stuff recently but that's all slipped again :( I was at a craft fayre all day yesterday which went really well :D but I have 3 more before Christmas & have to find time to replenish my jewellery stock (why do I have to go to work!, ooh yeah just remembered to pay for my crafty bits to use lol).

Hence I'm late posting my card for this week's Di's Digi Challenge, which this time is "Fall Colours".  I coloured the cute image with ProMarkers & finished off with some die cuts, flowers, greeting & gems.  I hope you will have time to join us :)

Too Cute To Spook!

Yaaaahooo....thank goodness it is the weekend, I must say this week has flown by.  As it is Saturday it means time for a new Di's Digi Challenge & this week it is "Too Cute To Spook", Di has so many wonderful Halloween images it was difficult to chose which one to go for but I decided on "Come Fly With Me".  I used chalks again as I love the soft feel but they don't really photograph well.  The papers are digi (can't remember where from, the pumpkins are made with a Sizzix embossing flower & I cut them out & sanded.  I finshed the card off with a Halloween ticket, sparkly ribbon, plastic bats (from Poundland) & some gems.  I hope you can join us & please check out the other DT members creations if you're looking for more inspiration. Another Christmas Card (at last!)

At last I have made another Christmas card, although I started the year with good intentions I think I've only made about 5 to date lol.  I made this card for Di's Digi Challenge which this time is "More than 1 Die Cut/Punch".  Di has so many gorgeous Christmas images & I just love this one which is called "Letters to Santa".  I coloured the image with ProMarkers & added some Frosted Lace Stickles to her coat & hat. The backing paper is from Trimcraft & I used Aleene's Glitter Snow for the snow (I love the texture of this).  The holly border is a Memory Box Die with gem "berries" & the "Do Not Open" stamp is from Designer Digitals & I used my circle punch.  Our fab sponsor this time is Crafty Sentiments & I do hope you can join us.

I Know I Say This Every Week But...

 Thank goodness it's the weekend lol  Even though it was a short week (with the bank holiday) it has seemed like a long week at work cos we have been so short staffed & busy.  The week started well though as I had a stall selling my handmade jewellery at a Body, Mind & Spirit Festival (very interesting) & I was so chuffed to sell quite a few things & get lots of positive feedback :D I will be putting some more photos on my Jewellery Blog when I can find the time :)

Anyway on to this weeks Di's Digi Challenge which is "Back to School".  I made this card for my lil granddaughter Aibigail who starts "proper" school next week, moving up from nursery.  The image I used is called "School Days" & I coloured it with ProMarkers, cut it out & added it to an oval die cut out of cloud paper (both papers are digi & from Zoe Pearn at The Sweet Shoppe).  I finished off with a bow, gems & computer generated sentiment.  This week we have a prize package for Sweet Stamps up for grabs too!
