Basic Grey Challenge

This card was made the challenge at Our Creative Corner which was to use Basic Grey backing papers. At first I thought I would have to give this challenge a miss but then I found a lil 6x6 pad so I made this card.

I used a Paper Artsy stamped image, some ric rac ribbon, added 3 eyelets with my Cropadile & stamped "Fragile" onto a piece of material.

Piggy Card

This card took ageeees to make lol. I tried loads of different paper combinations.

I used "Pink, Green & Brown" & cut out 2 pigs which I stamped using Penny Black "Party Animals" stamp for the Penny Black Saturday challenge. The papers are all from Pink Petticoat, I added a rub-on greeting & the obligatory gems & flowers :-).

The sketch was from Friday Sketchers for their weekly challenge.

Anniversary Card

Here is a card I made using an image of 2 youngsters. I used DCWV backing paper & some peel offs (I have hundreds from when I first started crafting so do try to use the odd one here & there).
I coloured the bunch of roses in with a red glitter pen, attached an embossed heart with a heart brad & finished off with some prima flowers & a couple of gems.
This card is for the Lots to Do challenge of "Children".

Think Pink!

I made this card for the "Think Pink!" challenge on Caardvarks blog using some papers I got free when I ordered some Penny Black stamps from one of my favourite US websites KraftyatKrafts. The image is from Pink Petticoat coloured in with Sakura glitter pens with a gem added for the cherry. I finished it off with some flowers, ribbons & gems (all the usually girly stuff lol).

No Patterned Paper

I made this card for the Cute Card Thursday challenge which is "No Patterned Paper". I stamped flowers with a brilliance ink pad on the card base, then stamped some pink & green paper with more (smaller) flowers (though unfortunately you can't see the pink one very well lol). I added a central stamped image with brads & a gem. Finishing off with 2 chipboard stickers & some ribbon.

1 More Card

Woohoo managed to make 1 more card before I got too tired lol. It's a flower fairy card (Lavender) & I love fairies.

I stamped the image, coloured it in with pearly paints & added glitter glue to her wings. I used strips of 2 different backing papers (BP), added a sentiment & 3 Prima flowers with a button & gems.

This card was made for the SBS 18 challenge this week which is "Just to say".

Why does time go so quick....

When It's my day off?

Oh well, I've made another card :-). This one is using the sketch from the Papertake Weekly Challenge & the theme of "Nature" from the Arty Girlz challenge.

I used Brenda Pinnock papers & cut a scalloped border on the one down the side & added eyelets & a fibre to the border accross the middle. I added the chipboard sticker accross the top purely cos it said Nature. Then some flower, ladybird & dragonfly stickers & a bit of ribbon to finish it off.

Checks Galore!

Here is a card I made for 2 challenges. I used the sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You & the theme of "Checks Galore" for the A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge this week.

I stamped the image (I had to add a mouth, I just feel something's missing without it lol) & coloured it in with Whispers brush marker pens, topped it on to lots of pink & blue checked paper & added flowers, ribbons & a chipboard sentiment.

New Home Card

I'm trying to make a selection of cards for different occasions.

Here is a New Home card. I used a rubber stamp coloured in with pearly paints & Sakura pens & added some decorative papers. I used brads in 2 corners of the image & in the centre of some Prima flowers for the "Paper Piercing" challenge on Funky Fairys blog.

Brads & Buttons

This card was made using my first Penny Black stamp. It was part of a mother's day pressie from my son & his partner Zoe (Zoe is a crafter too so she knows exactly what I like). The theme is "Friends" for the Penny Black Saturday challenge this week.

I coloured the stamped image in as usual, used papers downloaded from the Cannon website, printed the lyrics to the song by John Denver & 2 heart brads & 2 prima flowers with ribbons in the centres for the challenge at Our Creative Corner this week which is "Brads & Buttons".

I used more masculine colours cos I thought this card would probably be given by a wife to her husband (or girlfriend to boyfriend).

Quick Card

When I say quick card I mean quick for me (which is about 2 hours lol).

My son & lil grandson have been staying since Wednesday evening (which has been lovely). I haven't had any time for crafting although I did make this card last night when my grandson was in bed but was too tired to blog it until now (they left this evening).

I made this card for 2 challenges: Papertake weekly challenge which was "HOT Colours" & Funky Fairy challenge which was "Glorious Food".

I made this card using downloaded paper from Scrapgirls (I believe) & Brenda Pinnock. I stamped a cake & coloured it with pearly paints & added some liquid pearls for the cream. The I finished it off with a green ribbon, a stamped message & a chipboard sticker.

3 Cards Made Today!

Had a good day off today, mangaged to fit quite a bit of crafting in :-)

Here is a card made using my other new Willow Designs stamp that I got today. I used the sketch from Our Creative Corner with papers from Brenda Pinnock. Coloured the image in with twinkling H20s & Sakura glitter pens (& a water brush) added a couple of Prima flowers with a gem.

New Stamps!

Hooray! Today the postman brought me 2 new Willow Design fairy stamps & they are gorgeous. Luckily it is my day off too.

I've only had time to play with one "Make a Wish" stamp but I am very impressed with the image :-)

I made this card using the 2 Sketches 4 You challenge sketch. Using pink & green papers I then stamped the image & coloured it in with Twinkling H2Os, I added a bit of glitter to her wand, some star mini gems & a ribbon at the bottom.

Penny Black Teddy

Here is a card made using the first Penny Black rubber stamp that I bought, for the Penny Black Saturday challenge.

I used Pink Petticoat papers, pearly paints, a chipboard motif & a birthday motif. Oh yeah & a bit of glitter glue on the flowers.

Difficult Challenge

Zoe (who is my son's partner & avid crafter just like me) decided we should do a challenge for each other each weekend & that I should go first.

Like a fool I chose "Peel Offs" because we both have loads & never use them (apart from the odd greeting). So I made this masculine card using 2 car peel offs stuck on to red vellum & acetate used some black & white retro papers then added a large brad with a rub on greeting. Considering it is "peel offs" I don't mind it lol; but I still have about 80 sheets to use up so perhaps should have used more than 2 on this card :-s

Pink Fairy Card

This card could be called "My favourite things" because it is pink with a fairy, ribbon, gems & prima flowers all of which I adore lol.

I made this card for the Arty Girlz challenge this week which is a hint of pink but had to do a big hint of pink ;-)

NB. There is a mark near the fairy's skirt but this must be off the scanner cos it not on the card.

Thank You Card

Work was sooo busy today I needed to unwind with some crafting.

I made this card using a sketch from Friday Sketchers for their weekly challenge.

I used papers & thank you tab (which I attached with coloured staples) from Hot of the Press & added 2 stamped images of flowers with gems for centres, which I coloured with Sakura glitter pens & a water brush. Then added a brighter ribbon to lift the design a bit.

Paper Artsy Card

This card is for the Artsy Girlz challenge of "FACES".

It was made using K & Co's Life's Journey papers. I stamped on a twill ribbon & attached it with a brad & the image is a Paper Artsy stamp which I gave a light wash with a yellow Sakura glitter pen, added a gold clip & attached the image with a brad. Ooh yes & I used a bit of red chalk on her cheeks.

Baby Card

I am in the process of making some general greetings cards for an order of 20 mixed cards - I've got to make lots & then they will choose 20 lol. It's a good excuse to get crafting :) & have a bit of variety.

This card is using 3 different embellishments for the Cute Card Thursday challenge. I stamped a baby in the bath image which I coloured in with pearly paints & used: Ribbon, Epoxy stickers & a Chipboard embellishment.

Funky Cup Cake

This card was made using a sketch by Friday Sketchers.

I used several different coloured backing papers by Brenda Pinnick, added a gingham ribbon & bow. Then a stamped image of a cupcake coloured in with Sakura glitter pens & a water brush. The final touches were some gems & a chipboard word.

Monochrome Card

Well almost monochrome.

This card is black & white but has some red to accent it. I used DCWV black & white backing papers, cut a circle (drawing round a glass lol, I think I need some Nestibilities) & stamped a Penny Black image ("You're a Treasure") which I coloured with a red Sakura glitter pen & some chalk, added some 3 flowers with gems & 1 with a big heart brad. Finally added a chipboard word with a small heart brad.

The fab sketch for this card came from Challenge Ismaki & the challenge was to use only 2 or 3 colours.

2 Sketches 4 You

Her is the card I made for the 2 Sketches 4 You challenge. I like this card. Much as I love fresh, funky cards I also love vintage muted tones. I think it's good do different styles as it keep the crafting interesting.

I used a rosebud patterned paper (Anna Griffin) with scalloped edges (which I cut using a shaped ruler), white card & another vintage paper on top. I added a chipboard sentiment which I sanded & inked & put on a red ribbon with a papermania tag & 2 flowers with brads.

Oh yes the final touch was a jigsaw piece which I had stamped with 2 hearts. I was wondering when I could use these pieces of jigsaw which I had stamped & thought they looked really cool but didn't know what to do with them lol.

Papertake Weekly Challenge

This is my first go at the Papertake weekly challenge. It was great because it gave me a chance to use some chipboard which I love.

I covered the card with green spotty paper & cut a scalloped border using a shaped ruler adding another strip of the green paper (I'm not sure if the card is too green but luckily I do like green lol) with the chipboard word "party" & a candle. Oh yes & a pink ribbon with a bow down the centre.

Flowery Cards

Gorgeous sunny day today lol Back to work tomorrow at 8.00 am which will come hard.

Here are 2 cards made with free downloads. The blue one using papers from "I'd Love to wear a Rainbow" with some Pink Petticoat flowers, gems & a ribbon added. The psychedelic one using papers & flowers from "Funky Fairy Inspirations" (both sites found by Zoe my son's partner who is always finding good websites for us to get inspiration from).

Father's Day

I thought I would try & get organised as I'm back to work Monday & won't have much time for crafting :(

I stamped a Ziggy golf image twice, coloured it in with pearlised paints & decoupaged it. Matted it on to some orange card, used some green (BP) backing paper & finished of with a Happy Father's Day peel off which I coloured orange.

NB. Since the photo was taken I have moved the greeting down a bit & straightened it up ;)

Still Raining

The rain did actually stop this afternoon & tomorrow is supposed to be fine (fingers crossed).

Spent most of this afternoon googling car badges & cars to make a couple of posters for my car crazy lil grandson's bedroom, it took ages but hopefully he will like them.

I made this purple card using Brenda Pinnick papers (there are sooo many of them) which I glittered, a Pink Petticoat image coloured in with glitter gel pens, ribbon (BP again) & peel off borders (I have loads of peel offs but I don't really like them any more so must try to use them up where I can).

Where is Summer?

Last day of week off :( (not includingweekend of course) & we've had torrential rain nearly all day but it didn't deter us. We had a look round Wroxham Barns (another crafty place) & bought a bbq (we are optimists lol).

Got my Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine today & only had a quick flick through but it looks like a good issue this month. It had a free flower fairy stamp with it which is fab (I love fairies) so thought I'd better try it out.

This card is made using Brenda Pinnick backing papers again with the stamped image coloured in with Sakura glitter gel pens & a waterbrush. Then I added a greeting & a few gems.

Day out at last!

No rain today thank goodness so managed to have a day out. Had a drive down the east coast to Snape Maltings. We usually go there once a year, I love looking in the art galleries it always gives me inspiration.

Made a folded corner card this evening. I actually used my crop-a-dile (at last) to put an eyelet in a Brenda Pinnick round embellishment & stuck this on top of a flower. I used BP papers too & added a Pink Petticoat image with a gem.

Another Card!!!

One good thing about being on holiday from work & the weather being pants is that I have a bit of extra time to make some cards.

I made this square card with some backing paper I got from Create & Craft. It was in a set that I really bought for the chipboard stickers (I love chipboard). I stamped Happy birthday down the side & added some gems & then used a Brenda Pinnick card tag to which I added more gems & a lil ribbon. I love Brenda's stuff really good quality but very reasonably priced (which means u can buy lots more).

I am hoping the weather will be better tomorrow though so that we can at least venture outside the front door & then there's always the evening for crafting :)

Turquoise Stamped Card

I fancied doing some rubber stamping so I covered a card with (surprise, surprise) Pink Petticoat backing paper & stamped some flowers over it. Then I added another stamped image on a mat for a focal point with a gem, some ribbon & a chip board accent. But it all looked a bit too bland so I added some pearlescent chalk & some glitter (which you can't really see too well in the scan). I'm not sure which one (if any lol) I like best.

NB. Looking at the 2nd card (with the chalk & glitter added) standing on top of the computer monitor I've decided I do like it now :)

Patchwork Cards

Today I have had great fun making cards using left over pieces of (Pink Petticoat for a change) backing papers together with some punched flowers, brads & gems.

Shrink Plastic Fun

I made this card using a Rubber Romance stamp & stamping on shrink plastic & shrinking it to make a cool lil plastic embellishment. I used a square card this time with Pink Petticoat papers (again) & added a couple of big flowers with gems in the middle.
