Santa's Been!
Well Christmas is over for another year though I must admit I still count the days in between Christmas & New Year as "Christmas Time" lol. Father Christmas came ;o) & I got lots of lovely pressies including some gorgeous crafting goodies.
This card was made using my new Basic Grey "Infuse" papers given to my from my dear friend Linda. I am so pleased that now I have some BG papers I can enter their challenge which at the moment is "Going Green" & to use something recycled on your card. I used some cardboard off a box & some ribbon off a present. I used sketch #28 by Mariska from Sketch Saturday as their challenge is to use one of the sketches from any of their previous challenges.
It was so nice to fit in a bit of crafting today especially as I had to go to work this morning (& at 8.00 am how awful is that the day after Boxing Day lol) so I wasn't sure if I'd be too tired. Hopefully I will have a bit more time in the New Year to be creative.

Coffee & Cake Card
I really enjoyed making this card as I haven't made a card for ages with all the Christmas preparations & everything.
The card has 2 of my favouritest things in the world (apart from family lol) I've called it coffee & cake card (mainly because the papers are coffee coloured) but for me it would have to be a cup of tea & cake :o).
It was made for the Just Christmas & Birthday Cards "Extra Challenge 3". I stamped images of Coffees (or teas) & a cupcake, used Pink Petticoat papers & finished off with sticky ribbons, flowers, gems & a peel off greeting.

Last Kaboodle Doodles Challenge b4 Christmas
I nearly forgot to post this. The last Kaboodle Doodles challenge before Christmas is "For the Boys".
This card is made using the Kaboodle Doodles Green paper kit, some ribbon, red card, Stampin Up "Riveting" greeting & decoupage image (sorry can't remember where that's from).

Wedding Card
My very special friend Kelly is getting married on Saturday & I'm really looking forward to it. She is getting married at Yaxley Hall, Eye in Suffolk which looks gorgeous especially as it will be all decorated for Christmas. I thought I would keep the card quite simple; I stamped a wedding cake & embossed it in gold used burgundy papers & cream pearl card, finishing off with a peel off greeting & some organza ribbon tied in a big bow.
I've incorporated 2 challenges: Dutch Dare which is "Food & Drinks" & the sketch is from Cupcake.

Trim the Tree!
I thought I'd have a change from making cards (not that I've made that many lately) & when I saw the instructions to make these cute lil Birdhouse Christmas tree decorations (or you could make them for any occasion) I had to have a go at making them & I'm really pleased with how they turned out :o) It reminded me how much I enjoy paper crafting as well as card making & hopefully I will have time in the New Year to do some more.
You can find the instructions on Capture the Moment's blog & there are lots of other instructions & inspiration there too. I used gorgeous papers (printed onto card) from Designs by Krista's Christmas Memories & Chilly kits. The instructions use Nestabilities but as I haven't got these I used scalloped edge scissors.
These decorations are also my entry for this week's Double Dutch challenge which is to make a Christmas tree ornament.

Kaboodle Doodles Embossing Challenge
This was a bit of a rush this week (infact it is a rush every week recently). But I was pleased I got my Cuttlebug embossing folder (Swiss Dots) to work on my old faithful Zip-e-Mate at last lol.
As you can see from the title of this post the Kaboodle Doodles challenge this week is "Embossing" & I did the bit of embossing for the backing with the embossing folder & used the Kaboodle Doodle Blue paper kit (stamped with stars). This image has got to be my favourite Christmas stamp which I got on ebay, it is by Stampendous! & is called "The Nativity Cast". I coloured it in with Twinkling H2os & added glitter glue, sticky ribbon, gems, flowers, brad & a peel off greeting.

Cupcake & Crafty Creations Challenges
Hooray a challenge (or 2) at last :o)
This card was made for my fantastic hubby Mark, it is definitely not the usual type of Christmas card I would make for him, it would usually be a cute & cuddly one but I thought I'd have a change this year.
The papers and image are from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Christmas CD & I added ribbons, flowers & glitter glue. The challenge at Cupcake this week is "Vintage" so this card fits perfectly & the Crafty Creations challenge is "Holiday Wishes".

First post of December :-)
I can't believe it is 6th December already, where has the time gone. I've been busy with Christmas stuff & work has been sooo short staffed I've been too tired to do much crafting (& I've lost my mojo too to top it all!)
I've managed to make this card because Liz over on the Pink Petticoat blog is offering one lucky winner the prize of an "MM Slice Starter Kit" & luckily Pink Petticoat papers are so fab they usually give me inspiration. You never know perhaps I'll actually get round to doing some more crafting this weekend.

Kaboodle Doodles Scallops Challenge
I'm glad to be able to do the Kaboodle Doodles challenge this week as I missed it last week. The challenge is "Scallops" & as I'm waiting for Santa to bring me a scallop border punch I had to use a shaped ruler & cut them out by hand & the result is not that fab, the papers are though: from the new Kaboodle Doodles Contemporary Christmas kit. The snowflakes are recycled from an old Christmas card (when I got the decorations down from the loft I couldn't believe how many old cards I had kept so I thought I'd better start recycling lol). I finished off with braid, confetti & a greeting.
Why not check the blog out the other DT cards are gorgeous :o)
NB. I have since the photo was taken added some silver glittery snowflakes which balance the card out better so I like it slightly more than I did lol.

A Card at Last!
Wow, it seems like ages since I've made/blogged a card. We had a fab time last weekend in Kent visiting my lovely son Craig & his gorgeous family. Then hubby & I both had the week off so did a bit of Christmas shopping etc (still haven't finished though, there's always those awkward ones that are left).
I have just managed to finish my son's Christmas card (Stuart) & I hope he will like it (he doesn't look on here so it's ok). I'm using it for this week's ABC challenge which is "S is for Snow". The papers/decoupage/chipboard are from Trimcraft (I love their stuff). I finished off with plenty of glitter glue.
I'm hoping to get back into some challenges this week (fingers crossed) but there's always soo much to do at this time of year.

I used one of my fav snowman stamps & paper pieced his scarf & hat band. The ribbon & tag are from Trimcraft & I finished it off with rub-on words & a glittery snowflake (which was free with a magazine).

1st Christmas Card
I made this Christmas card for my gorgeous lil grand-daughter Abigail.
It is for 2 challenges: Cupcake whose challenge is "Spots & Dots" & A Spoon Full of Sugar's challenge is "A Child's Card". The fairy is a download from Pollycraft & I added glitter glue. The spotty background paper was stamped with snowflakes & I also added a lots of peel offs (yes I actually used some of my hundreds of peel offs that I've had for years lol). The card was finished off with a snowflake attached with a gem brad.
I've got lots of family cards to make before we go visiting next weekend so I better get a move on.

Christmas Decoupage
Hooray managed to fit in another card tonight. Thought this was going to be a quick one as I used the decoupage kit I got with my Dovecraft papers & embellishments but it took ages punching the pieces out, sanding the "pips" & cutting the foam pads lol.
I used the Papertake sketch & just finished the card off with a gorgeous fabric poinsettia which I got from Lakeland last year in the sale.

Wiff of Joy Challenge 7
What a day! I don't like Mondays to coin a phrase from Bob Geldof lol. Luckily I only had to work 4 hours today but I got wet biking to work & on the way home I got the wettest you can get lol, you know when you're soo wet you can't get any wetter.
At least I managed to fit in time to make a card using the Wiff of Joy sketch. I used my fab Dovecraft papers again, I went round the edges with a gold Marvy Metallics pen. The image is WOJ Angel Charlotte coloured with pearly paints. I finished off with a greeting, brad, charm & 3 gems.

OMG look at the time it's over half way through Sunday afternoon :o( I've got so much to do, not least of all making cards lol.
Well I did manage to make a card for Sharon's first Willow Sketchie Challenge & a fab sketch it is too. I used my gorgeous new Dovecraft papers, an Elzybells stamped image, snowflake & round brads, wire, 2 lil star bead charms, flowers, greeting & a gem.
I need to clear this mess in here before I can do any more crafting as I won't be able to find anything or shall I do the ironing .... (lol no contest but maybe I'll do the ironing quickly if not I'll feel guilty)

I've been able to make another Christmas card in between shopping & houseworky stuff that always gets in the way of crafting fun lol.
I used my new Elzybells stamps again (a different one though), I'm really loving these stamps. The sketch is from the Jehkotar Card Challenge & it is the first time I've joined this one. The papers are DCWV & Brenda Pinnock & I added ribbon, glitter glue, tags & brads.

Well I am trying - These cards are both blue snowmen cards (I seem to have lots of snowman stamps which is good cos I like them lol). These cards are for the Our Creative Corner challenge this week which is "It's all in the colouring". My favourite technique for colouring is watercolouring & I usually use a water brush. For these cards I watercoloured with Sakura glitter gel pens.

Another Christmas & Birthday Card
Thank goodness for the Just Christmas & Birthday cards challenge to get me making at least 1 Christmas & 1 Birthday card a week lol (though I am way behind with my Christmas cards - it might be better if the challenge was just Christmas & Christmas cards). This week it is Karin's fab sketch.
The Birthday card is using Forever Friends papers & stamps which were a birthday pressie from my dear friend Linda. I finished this card off with a stamped greeting some flowers brads & a bear charm.
The Christmas card is made using HOTP paper & paper & image from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Christmas CD which I used a lot last year but this is my first card using it this year. I kept it quite simple just highlighting the image with a Sakura glitter gel pen, added some metal holly embellishments & finished off with 4 lil gems.

Cute Card Thursday

This card was made for Cute Card Thursday, their challenge this week is "The Stars at Night" I used papers from Designs by Krista's "Visions of Sugar Plums" kit. The Snowman stamp is one of my favourites by Printworks & is called "Frosty Smiles". I paper Pieced his hat scarf & the holly . Wiff of Joy Challenge 5
This card was made for the Wiff of Joy challenge 5 using Heather's fab sketch. The papers are from the English Paper Company (Festive Frost). I coloured Charlie with Snowballs in with Whispers pens & added glitter glue. The stamped greeting is by Dovecraft & I finished the card off with snowflakes & gems.
"Pimp" a Notebook
I "pimped" this notebook for the Double Dutch challenge - this is my first entry in this challenge & did enjoy until it all went horribly wrong lol. I got a streak of purple ink down Tilda's face, I tried rubbing it out & sanding it but this made it much worse & as it was a stamped image sent to me by my dear friend Linda I couldn't paper piece the face as I had no stamp to do this with so (as you can probably tell) I had to trace the face onto a piece of paper & improvise. I'm not happy with the results but wanted to enter the challenge so that's why I'm blogging it.
Ooh I forgot to say I used papers from Designs by Krista's May Flowers kit, lil flowers that were free with a mag, the charm is from a cheap bracelet I bought to disect, some prima flowers, brads, gems, See Ds Morsels "Connectors Collection", sticky ribbon & alphabet stickers
It will be a handy lil book to write in all the gorgeous crafty items I see that I would like while I'm surfing the net & maybe I'll get a few off Father Christmas (if I'm a good girl lol).

Just Christmas & Birthday Cards
Well it's my day off today & I had to go the dentist how cruel is that lol I really hate the dentist. To top it all I had to bike & it was raining so hard I got soaked through. At least that is over until next year. The day is going way too quick (as it always does).
Luckily I've managed to make 2 cards for a new challenge I found via my pal Linda (well I actually made the Christmas one on Monday but needed to blog them together). The challenge blog is called Just Christmas & Birthday Cards & you make a Christmas & Birthday card each week with their sketches. My Christmas card was made with HOTP papers (I think), the stamp I used is from Paper Artsy & I finished off with ribbon & 2 trees I cut from some ribbon.
For the birthday card I used some gorgeous papers called "Ladies of Leisure" from the English Paper Company. I finished this card off with more ribbon, flowers, brads & a stamped greeting.

I added a cute squirel stamped image (I got it on e-bay ages ago &I've no idea who it's by but I do love it), some organza ribbon & a chipboard greeting. Not a Card!
I've been wanting to dabble in jewellery making for a while now. I made this bracelet & earrings & thought they were ok but nothing special. I showed them to my Kaboodle Doodles DT pal Steph & she said she liked them & I should enter them in the Crafty Creations (formally known as SBS 18) challenge this week which is Autumn (cos they are autumnal colours) so thats what I'm doing lol. I've bought a few more beads & bits & pieces so hopefully will be able to make a few more pieces :o)
