New Digi Papers at StampFairy

Well I love the versatility of digi papers & when Gerda at StampFairy said she was doing some I  thought it was a great idea :)  There are 3 different sets & they are introductory priced at 2.50 USD.  For my card I used "Bright Dots" as I thought it went perfectly with this image called "Monkeys Bananas" (the other paper is from Papermania).  I coloured the image with ProMarkers & made another handmade flower (punching, wetting & scrunching) & finished off with a stamped sentiment from Inkadinkado, a mini peg & a brad.

Monday Wotnots at Paper Pretties

Monday again & where did that weekend go?  Paper Pretties has some fab new digi releases today & the one I'm using is called "ConBEARsation Hearts".  I printed him onto some Basic Grey paper & added a bit of ProMarkers & some gloss for his nose.  The papers are from Designer Digitals & I finished off with a punched border, ribbon, chipboard sentiments & a couple of brads.

Chinese New Year at Sentimental Sundays

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend, I've been doing lots of crafting while hubby played footy :)  My plan to be more organised in everything including craft is working out so far & my DT card for Sentimental Sundays was finished in plenty of time (don't know if I can keep it up lol but I'm enjoying it while it lasts).  The challenge this week is Chinese New Year / Asian inspired.  I used some digi papers that were free from Cannon (I think) it was a while ago so they might not still be on there.  I made an origami kimono, stamped & embossed a dragon (which is a stamp I've had ages but rarely use so it was nice to ink it up) & finished off with flowers, ribbon pearls, peel off borders & the sentiments were found on Google (what would we do with out Google lol), I edged the card & sentiments with gold metallic rub-ons.  I hope you will join in the challenge (don't forget your sentiment) & if you need more inspiration why not check out the other DT members fantastic creations :)

Easter Card! (Yes, I know it's early but there is a good reason...)

& the reason is that the new digi release at StampFairy today is "Clementine Easter".  She is just the cutest bunny & there is also a free bunny head image too! (see below).  I coloured her with ProMarkers, the papers are from Designer Digitals & I used my Martha Stewart punch to make a little garden for her.  The flowers were white originally but I inked them & added lots of Glamour Dust & a couple of punched leaves.  I finished off with a Happy Easter peel off!

There are some more gorgeous new digi releases today at Paper Pretties & the one I've used is called "Purrrty Girl", isn't she such fun :o)  The papers are from Designer Digitals & I used my new Martha Stewart punch (a Christmas pressie), coloured the image with ProMarkers & added pearls to her necklace (it took me ages sticking each one of those lil pearls down), the tag is made using 2 stamps & I added a brad, some chain & a heart charm.  The finishing touches are some flowers & more pearls.  It is also fellow DT member Jessica's birthday & there is a birthday blog hop to celebrate, if you would like to join in you need to start at the Paper Pretties blog & if you're already joining in your next stop is the fabulous Janet's blog.  It is just for fun but you can be sure to get lots of inspiration along the way :o)

Getting Warmed Up at Stampin' for the Weekend

This week's challenge at Stampin' for the Weekend is "Getting Warmed Up", this can be interpreted how ever you wish,  you will see from the DT cards some have gone for keeping warm & some of us have gone for getting warm in the sunshine :)  For my card I used this cute image from Di's Digi  Downloads called "Teds 99", I coloured her with ProMarkers, the papers are digi & I finished off with a couple of ribbons & gems.  The flower was made using punched flowers which I sprayed with water & scrunched up & added another flower to the centre. The greeting is from a stamp set called "Ticket Sentiments" by Raindrop Echo Designs from Whimsy Stamps.

Friday Release & a Fab Freebie at StampFairy

 The week's new release at StampFairy is called "Linda Ballet" & this is one of the gorgeous images & it gets even better:  you see the gorgeous ballet shoe image, it absolutely free!  It works perfectly with these new images.  The colouring of my image may look a bit strange - that is because I started off with pearlised paints but they didn't work with the card I used so I finished off with Prismacolor pencils, I'm not too sure about the effect but I thought it looked kinda childlike lol.  The paper is from the Dovecraft "Kids" paper pack & I added some lace & ribbon.  The card is finished off with another stamped ticket sentiment by Raindrop Echo & some flowers.

More great digi releases at Paper Pretties again today & I've used this cute elephant one (I love elephants) which is called "Ian Laurent".  He coloured with ProMarkers, Sakura glitter gel pens & chalk.  The papers are called "Chasing Rainbows" by Zoe Pearn from Sweet Shoppe Designs.  Ooh nearly forgot to say I didn't make a card this time but altered a filofax, I love these as they are so handy (but this one is for my lil grandaughter Abigail who loves elephants even more than I do lol).  The finishing touches are ribbon, brads, punched butterflies, rub-on letters, some gems & pearls & I stamped {heart} You.

Sentimental Sundays Challenge - Winter

Happy Sunday everyone :o) This week's Sentimental Sundays challenge is "Winter" (with a sentiment).  The papers are digi & I can't remember where from (probably Designer Digitals or Sweet Shoppe), the cute image is from Heather Ellis & was a bargain at 50p which i coloured with ProMarkers & added some glitter for the snow.  The finishing touches are sequins, flowers, brad, die cut Christmas tree & the sentiment is by Raindrop Echo Designs & available here.  Don't forget to check out the other DT members for lots of inspiration & grab the weekly freebie from the blog.

Friday Release at StampFairy

Thank goodness it is Friday!  What a week it has been, work has been unbelievably busy, not helped by all the news coverage about the Flu/Swine Flu (I work in a Doctor's Surgery) so I AM glad it's Friday but I have to work tomorrow :o( so no Saturday lay in for me.  Friday is also great because there is a new release every Friday at StampFairy & this week it is this cute lil fella called "Donny HoneyBear".  There is also a fab free digi image to match perfectly with him.  I paper pieced his hat, wings & suit & the rest is coloured with ProMarkers.  The papers are digi, I used my Martha Stewart flower border punch, added some black pearls to his antennae & finished off with some stamping & 2 buttons.

Waiting for the Party

I absolutely love this image which is called "Waiting for the Party" & is from Di's Digi Downloads & it gave me an excuse to make my very favourite type of card - GIRLY! lol.  I coloured the image with ProMarkers & used Glamour Dust, the papers are DCWV & I did do lots of stitching but you can't see much of it.  The heart is a Martha Stewart punch which I also added lots of Glamour Dust to.  I finished of with lace, flowers, brads & a couple of little pearls for her earrings.  The ticket is from a set by Raindrop Echo called French Ticket Sentiments.

First Christmas Card of 2011!

Well I am trying to be organised :D  The challenge at Sentimental Sundays this week is "Anything with Wings".  I used this gorgeous Poinsettia Fairy decoupage from the Crafty Purple Frog & highlighted he with Sakura glitter pens & Glamour Dust, the paper is digi & the panel was cut from a glittery Christmas card.  I finished off with ribbon, gem & the sentiment ticket was free from here.  Don't forget there are free sentiments every week at Sentimental Sundays & lots of inspiration from the DT.

Fun In the Sun! (aka Wishful Thinking)

I am late posting this (should have scheduled yesterday for first thing this morning), work has been crazy with someone else off sick again today so I had to work from 7.45 am to 6.30 pm & I then I remembered I'd forgotten (if that makes sense).  Anyway at StampFairy today there is a new release of these cute mermaid digis and also a freebie.  I flipped the image (I'm always doing this by mistake in Word lol but I liked the image this way). I coloured her with ProMarkers, the papers are from Basic Grey & I used my EK Success border punch.  I finished the card off with some ribbon, gems, beads, sentiment from Pink Cat Studio & lots of random stitching.

Celebrate Friendship with Sentimental Sundays

What a lovely first challenge of the year for Sentimental Sundays - "Celebrate Friendship" (with a sentiment).  I've had this stamp from Willow Designs for years & it is still one of my favourites as I love fairies, I coloured the image with Twinkling H2Os & chalk. The edges of of the image & sentiment (which is from Whimsy Stamps & available here) have been edged with Brilliance ink &  Glamour Dust which I also added to the flowers (you can never have too much sparkle!).  The finishing touches are lace border (which you can hardly see), mini doily & punched butterfly.  I hope you can join us & don't forget to check out the free sentiments & the rest of the design team for lots more inspiration.
