Cute Bath Card

This gorgeous image was given to me by Linda & I think it is using a Whippersnapper stamp.

The layout is from Card Positioning Systems & the bath theme is for Cute Card Thursday which is "In the house". The image is coloured in with Twinkling H20s & I added a gingham ribbon & flowers attached with a gem brad.

Birthday Card for Mother-in-Law

I thought I'd better make my MIL's birthday card while I had the time (I'm off work at the moment & hoping to be well enough to go back on Monday). Her birthday is in a couple of weeks.

I received a goody bag from ebay (10 craft items for £2ish) which was a bargain but there were a couple of things in there that I didn't like. The flower decoration I used on this card is one of them but even though I don't particularly like it I'm sure that my MIL will (well I hope so lol).

I used the sketch from Dutch Dare, some Pink Petticoat papers, gems, a brad & was very brave (or foolish lol) & wrote the greeting myself with a Sakura glitter pen.

Today's Challenges

I went to the shop today for the first time in a month (I'm off work with Sciatica) but unfortunately I could hardly make it round the shop before the pain got really bad :-( The only good thing is that I can keep up-to-date with a lot of the challenges (that's what I will really miss when I'm better & back to work but it would be nice just to go for a walk in this lovely weather).

Today I made this blue card - "Blue" is the theme on the Arty Girlz blog. I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers & the image is of a lil girl holding a rabbit for the A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge which this week is "Animal Magic".

3 Challenges again :-)

I love all the challenges on the fantastic blogs that are about but there are soo many now that sometimes it's hard to keep up with them all (well impossible lol) so it is handy when I can combine the challenges & this time I managed to combine 3 again :-)

The Dutch Dare challenge is to make a circle card so I drew round a CD & cut it out. The theme on Our Creative Corner is "Cool Yule" & on Papertake it is "Christmas in July" so made this Christmas card by stamping & embossing the background with a snowflake stamp & embellishing the card with chipboard, stickers & ribbon from Brenda Pinnock, finishing off with a few gems.

Son's 21st Birthday Card

This is the card I made for my son Stuart's 21st birthday which was yesterday.

It is a Diamond card & I cut out the letters 21 & stuck them to the front (& they did actually balance & stand up straight lol) added the greeting & a couple of monkeys. Oh yes & some eyelets on the numbers & 21 in playing cards (I wanted to use the heart suite but I couldn't find the Ace lol).

It took me ages to decide what card to make him - it's always harder making cards for someone special but luckily he loved it :-)

3 More Challenges :-)

Phew really hot day today. I will be glad when I can at least just go for a walk round the block but I'm lucky that I've got my crafting to keep me occupied (if not I probably would go stir crazy).

This card gave me an excuse to use my Penny Black piggy stamp again because the challenge on Penny Black Saturday is "Down on the Farm" and the challenge at SBS 18 this week is "Barnyard Fun". I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday. The papers & Pink Petticoat & I added some chipboard embellishments & gems (I tried to keep it simple so it could be used as a card for a man as lots of my cards are girly & I need some more masculine ones lol).

Same Sketch, Different Card

I liked Michelle's sketch from The Card Grotto Blogothon so much that I used it again for this card.

I had to make a Baby Girl card for my MIL and I have stamped a little baby in the bath (using Woodware clear stamps). I decoupaged the image as this is the ABC challenge this week (i couldn't do too many layers cos of the postage costs lol). I added a stamped a greeting & the usual embellishments (& a lil padded teddy).

Friend's Birthday Card

This card was made for my friend Tammie whose birthday is in August. I used the sketch from The Card Grotto's Blogoversary Round 1.

The papers are free downloads from a craft magazine website. The cute image is coloured in with twinkling H20s, I added brads, flowers, buttons & a greeting.

Feeling bit Better!

At last I'm starting to feel slightly better & was able to walk a bit further without the pain getting too bad :-) (hopefully I'll soon be back to normal).

Just wanted to tell u another reason why I'm feeling better I received a lovely get well card made by my son's girlfriend Zoe. She made it using one of her fantastic doodle characters that she has designed which are soon to be made into stamps. (It is soo exciting).

Blossom Card

This card was made using the Papertake sketch & the theme from Cute Card Thursday which is "Things that grow".

I used Pink Petticoat papers, a Penny Black stamped image & pale lemon ribbon with a rub on greeting & a gem to finish it off.

Three Challenges in One!

This card was made for 3 challenges: the sketch is Kazan's from 2 Sketches 4 You, the theme on the Funky Fairys blog is "Stitching" & the theme of the 2nd challenge at The Card Grotto is "Monotone".

I used Pink Petticoat papers, stamped some cups of tea (or coffee or whatever lol) & some faux stitching with a couple of flowers, a brad & some rub-on letters.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge

Here is my card made with this weeks sketch from A Spoon Full of Sugar blog.

I used a Magnolia stamped image coloured with Twinkling H20s & attached with a brad. Finished off with ribbon & some flowers. The papers are mostly Pink Petticoat.

Embossed Card

The only good thing about being off work with this stupid sciatica or trapped nerve or whatever is that I can make lots of cards & take my mind off the pain.

This card is made for the Our Creative Corner challenge which this week is "Dry Embossing". As I hadn't done this for ages it was good to dust off the ol' light box (& it was dusty lol). I just embossed 4 flowers in the corners of this card & added gems for accents. The dress image is stamped on orange card & then onto vellum & attached with a brad. The greeting is a rub-on but I had to go over it with pen cos it didn't rub-on very well!

Good Luck Fairy

I made this card with the sketch from Sketch Saturday & the theme was from the first PollyCrafts challenge which is "Faries".

This card was made using one of my favourite Willow Design stamps, some Brenda Pinnock paper ( & the dotty one is from the cannon website), punch out & fabric flowers, gems, ribbon & a good luck rub on.

Bear Angel Card

I made this card with the sketch from Card Positioning Systems using the theme of "Angels"which is theme for the Lots to Do challenge this week (this is a bear angel hope he counts lol).

I kept this card simple just using the stamped image & greeting with just a few gems added. I was very restrained not using any flowers or ribbons but I don't think this card needs them.

Cinnamon Card

This weeks challenge on Dutch Dare was to use something from the store "7 Kids College Fund" so it gave me an excuse to use this gorgeous Penny Black Cinnamon stamp again. She is coloured in with Twinkling H20s with ribbon, flowers & a gem butterfly added.

Shed Card

This card too me all day to make lol. It is for the SBS challenge which this week is "How does your garden grow?"

The shed is hand drawn & I cut the door away & drew a table with plant pots inside. I then stamped small flowers & I used the masking technique to overlap the flower heads. I have one scan with the door closed & one with it open so you can see what I mean (hopefully).

Artfully Asian

I thought I would try a bit of origami so for this oriental card I folded a kimono as the challenge over on My Time to Craft blog is "Artfully Asian". The instructions are here. The sketch is one I had previously used (yesterday) from Sketch Saturday. The papers are gorgeous & I downloaded them from the Cannon website. I stamped & embossed a dragon emblem for the finishing touch to the card.

Swirly Stamped Card

This card was made with a sketch from Sketches! by Tamara blog. I used pink pink & green backing papers, some Hot of the Press swirly stamps & flowers & gems.

Little Hedgehog Card

I made this card using the Sketch from Sketch Saturday (which is ANOTHER fab challenge site which is new to me).

The theme is from Cute Card Thursday & is "Animals only, no people allowed" so I used this cute lil Penny Black image.

Squirrel Card

I made this card using one of my oldest stamp (it is still a favourite of mine) for the Ooh-La-La Challenge which is "All Creatures Great & Small". I like the funky colours, the cute image & the ribbons & buttons etc.

Silhouette Card

I made this silhouette card for the challenge on Lots to Do Blog. I kept it simple with black & white papers & just accents of cerise.

Auntie's Card

I made this card for my Auntie's birthday & it was quite difficult. I tried to made it look vintage for her.

I used Laura's sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You which I stuggled with too lol, perhaps it's just too late to be crafting. I added a flower "charm" for the ABC challege & the usual flowers, gems & a brad. Ooh nearly forgot the papers are Hot of the Press again.

Anyway time for bed now.

Card for a Man

Here we are again trying to design a card for a man which is the Arty Girlz challenge theme this week ("Male/Men"). I always think they look at little plain without all the gorgeous girly embellishments lol. I did use some brads & eyelets for a bit of decoration though. The papers are from the Hot off the Press floral ultmate pack & there are some lovely co-ordinating sheets in there.

Girly Card

I made this card with a cute stamped image given to me by Linda (I had to add a mouth though lol) for the challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar which this week is "One for the Girls".

These papers are gorgeous & pearly & came in a lil block with some card from Craftwork Cards sale. I added some flowers, ribbon, a gem brad & the word Cute.

Nice Surprise

When the postman came today instead of (or should that be as well as lol) the usual bills he brought this gorgeous card made by Linda.

This really cheered me up cos at the mo I'm off work with sciatica & was feeling a little bit fed-up. She also sent some lovely stamped images which I shall enjoy colouring & making cards with. At least I can sit & craft, I think that is what's keeping me upbeat.

Teenage Card

This card was made for the Papertake Weekly Challenge which is "Teenage Kicks"to make a card for a teenager.

I used a Pink Petticoat image & papers. Added ribbons, gems & flowers.

Oriental Card

This card was made using the sketch from Friday sketchers & the theme on Ooh-La-La Creations blog is "Blue". So I thought I'd do a blue oriental card. I'm not very keen on this card now it's finished I think I liked it better when it was a "work in progress" lol.
I did some stamping & embossing & the papers are from Ming-Ling.

Diamond Fold Card

Here is my first attempt at a diamond fold card & it was really simple to do. The instructions are here if you want to have a go :-) (sorry about the rubbish picture, I had to scan the card as the digital camera is not working.

I made this card for the ABC challenge which this week is "B for Baby". The stamps are Woodware.

A Lil Birdie Told Me...

I made this card using 3 different bird stamps from Willow Designs. The sketch is from Card Positioning Systems (CPS) blog which was bit of a challenge cos it had a wavy design in it. I used mainly pink & green colours (with a splash of blue & purple).

Father -in-Law Card

Ho hum... had to make another "Man" card - this one for my father-in-law, very akward & this is the time of the year wen I have to make lots of them, my youngest son Stuart is 21 on the same day as F-I-L (July 28th) & my oldest son Craig is 23 on 12th August.

For this card I used the sketch from Go Bananas (another new site on me) & the theme over at the Daring Cardmakers blog is "Peel offs" (of which I have loads cos I never use them any more) so I have used 3 heart peel offs. The papers are downloaded from the Cannon website which has lots of nice papers :-). I stamped the waistcoat then stamped a lil pocket watch & tucked it in the pocket. The card is finished off with a Happy Birthday ribbon & a big brad with a rub on. I quite like it but not sure if he will (fingers crossed).

Hedgehog in a Hamock Card

I love this Penny Black image. This card is made for the Cute Card Thursday challenge which this week is to make a card for a child & I used the sketch from the Penny Black Saturday challenge.

Get Well Card

I need to send this card to myself at the moment lol. Back ache has developed into sciatica which is really painful so can't really stand or walk at the moment. At least I can sit & craft & blog which is taking my mind off the pain.

I made this card for 3 challenges (trying to fit as many in as poss especially cos I'm extra slow at the moment).

It is a Get Well card which is the theme on Funky Fairies challenge blog (& I used one of their gorgeous free papers). The theme on the Stamp Something is "Triple Play" so I used 3 flowers to embellish the card & finally the challenge on the Dutch Dare site (which is a new challenge site to me) is to "Use one piece of designer paper on your card".
The stamp is Penelope from Sugar Nellie & I added a ribbon, a couple of gems & a brad.

Golf Card

I made this card sitting down as I've got a bad back at the moment :( so it took me even longer than usual lol.

I used my Ziggy golf stamp & the sketch from this weeks Papertake weekly challenge. I haven't embellished it as much as I would have like cos its for a bloke. The backing papers were free downloads & I added a stamped greeting.

Pink & Brown Card

18th Birthday Card

I made the card for a family member's 18th birthday using the sketch from the Arty Girlz Challenge Blog.

The gorgeous papers (which u can't really see lol) were free downloads but I can't remember where from, the stamp is "Cinnamon" Penny Black stamp & I punched some flowers & added gems.

Travel Challenge

I made this card for this weeks challenge on the Lots to do blog which is "travel".

I used K&Co's Life's Journey papers & stamped a vintage car & suitcase & added a lil bit of chalk some brads and a ribbon.
It was a nice to make a masculine card for a change (I still prefer girly cards though lol).

Favourite Card

This card has to be one of my favourites that I have made :-)

I made it using the Challenge Ismaki sketch & their option this week was fairies, which is great because I love fairies.

I used my favourite Willow Design stamps, the fairy as the main design & the wizards hat cupcake as a little tag which you can take out of the pocket.

Sugar Nellie Card

This card is made for the A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge which this week is circles.

I used circle backing paper (Pink Petticoat) & a circle tag . The images were coloured in with pearly paints & Sakura glitter pens.

Dazzle Card

I really like this card :-) probably because its lilac & girly with glitter & gems.

I used the sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You but unfortunately I was too late to join in lol. The theme of "Dazzle us with something" is from the challenge over on the Stamp Something blog.

This card is made with Pink Petticoat papers which I've added touches of Stickles glitter to. The swirly stamp is by Hot off the Press & I punched out a flower & added a Prima flower, stamped greeting (also by Hot off the Press), ribbons & gems.

On the Farm!

I made this card for the Cardvaarks challenge this week which is "On the Farm!".

I used a Penny Black "Party Animals" stamp coloured with pearlypaints, I used Brenda Pinnock paper & finished it with a greeting & a flower with a ribbon.

Summer Fun! aka 2 MORE Challenges :-)

I can't believe I've had time to make another card :-)

This one is using the sketch from another new challenge blog I found Taylored Expressions & the theme of "beaches, summer sun & sand" (in fact anything summery) for the SBS 18 challenge. The only summer stamps I have are See D bikini stamp & a flip flop border which I just cut 1 pair of lil flip flops to put in the corner.

Hmmm don't think I've got time to make another card :-( there just aren't enough hours in the day lol.

Papertake Challenge

I am having great fun with all these weekly challenges though it is hard work trying to keep up with them all lol.

This card I made for the Papertake challenge which this week is "Thanks a Latté", a thank you card with the option of using coffee & cream colours which I sort of did. I used Pink Petticoat papers (again).

New Penny Black Stamp :-)

I couldn't wait to use my new "Cinnamon" Penny Black stamp for this weeks Penny Black Saturday challenge.
I coloured her in with pearly paints, added brads & a button which was this week's PB challenge. The papers & greeting I used are Pink Petticoat & I added 2 punch-out flowers.

New Challenge Blog

I've just found this new challenge blog ABC Challenge, which as I love doing the challenges is fab!

As it is the first week the letter is A for "Animals". So I have made a frog "Hoppy Birthday" card using a funstamps Balloon Frog stamp, some Brenda Pinnock paper, star gems, chipboard accents & printed greeting. Oooh yes I almost forgot & some orange chalk lol.

Thank goodness it's Friday & the weekend is here - more time for crafting :-)

I made this card using the sketch from the Friday Sketchers challenge. I used a Sugar Nellie (with a lil mouth added as usual lol) stamped image with Pink Petticoat papers adding ribbons, gems, buttons & a flower.

Butterfly Card

I made this card for the Lots to Do "Buterfies" challenge, which was an excuse to use another of my favourite stamps :-)
This stamp comes from a US website. I stamped it in stazon, highlighted some bits with glimmer chalk, added some peel off butterfies, some gems & a stamped sentiment. The paper is by Brenda Pinnock.

Favourite Fairy Stamp

Here is a card using my favourite fairy stamp from Willow Designs.

I used the sketch from Challenge Ismaki with various backing papers ribbon, flowers & a brad. The stamped image was coloured in with pearly paints & her wand was coloured with my new gold Copic "Spica" pen.

Another Baby Card

This card is for a friend of my Mum-in-Laws who bought a card for her granddaughter's christening because she liked the words but didn't like the card.

I haven't got many baby stamps but I do love this Woodware one. The card is quite simple but it took ageeees to make (but most of my cards do lol).
