Everyone's Favourite... Anything Goes

This week's challenge at The Paper Shelter is "Anything Goes" (perhaps a chance to catch up on those Christmas cards if you're unorganised like me lol).  I love this cute Father Christmas image & as I've got so much on at the moment I opted for the coloured version for quickness :D (I love the fact that you get black & white outline or already coloured images from TPS).  The papers are digi & distressed & I finished the card off with ribbons, beads, doily, flower, sentiment & lots of gold Glamour Dust.

If you use an image from The Paper Shelter you have the chance to win a $20 gift certificate & even if you don't & you are picked you can chose 3 images of your choice from the shop :D

The challenges:
Crafty Hazelnut - Vintage &/or Distressed
Sparkle Creations - Christmas (optional Vellum)
City Crafter - Santa Claus is Coming...
Totally PaperCrafts - Christmas
Totally Gorjuss - Sparkle

Oopsie I forgot to put beaded charm straight
I hope you're all having a fabulous week, I'm hoping to catch up with my card making & blog visiting this week as the last few weeks have been manic getting ready for the craft fayre which I did on Sunday (it was my first so it was a bit of a learning curve).  It was quite small (only about 10 stalls) but  I really enjoyed it & made a bit of cash too :o) - I want to do more now (it's just finding them that's the problem).

Not a great photo but you get the idea :)

Ribbons & Bows at Di's

Another excuse to made a Christmas card as this week Di's Digi Challenge is "Ribbons & Bows".  I love this cute image called "Fairy Wand" which I coloured with ProMarkers & added some crystal & gold Glamour Dust.  The papers are digi & I finished off with a bauble greeting, some flowers (also covered in Glamour Dust) & of course some pink ribbon & a big bow.  There is so much scope with this challenge obviously not just Christmas but as some of you know I am really behind with my Christmas cards it's handy to get another one made :D  This week our wonderful sponsor is Crafts 4 You

Hopefully you can see this post as I'm scheduling it as I'm at the NEC Hobby Crafts show for the weekend so I can't check it lol (That's also why I've not entered it in any challenges).  Have a fabulous weekend whatever you're doing & if you're at the NEC I hope you have fun & get lots of crafty goodies!

The challenge this time at SFTW is a sketch, I love sketches & find they are always a good starting point for a card :)  The image is from Heather Ellis & coloured with ProMarkers, with some Polar White Flower soft & pearls added. Now For Something Completely Different...

The Sentimental Sundays challenge this week is "Birth Flowers" (or use the colours of your birth flower) + a sentiment.  This card is so out of my comfort zone & not my usual style (& not my favourite either) but that said the image is lovely & from our sponsor this week Heart Song Designs.  My birthday is in September & so my birth flower is Morning Glory.  I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils (I thought it would be a bit softer).  The paper is digi & from Designs by Krista.  I finished off with a ribbon, sentiment, pearls, Glamour Dust & punched vine border.  I hope you can join us &that you'll check out the other DT members fab creations.

The challenges:

Fancy Dress?

The challenge this week at Jellypark Friends is "Costume" so you don't necessarily have to make a Halloween project although the theme fits that too (& that's what I did) so there's lots of scope :D  My image is called "Boy in Halloween Costume" & is one of the new releases today in the Jellypark store & while you're browsing the store why not check out the fab Jellypark magazine, it's full of projects & inspiration & even a competition!  I coloured the image with ProMarkers, the papers are from Designs by Krista (such a bargain at just $2 for 16 patterned papers & 4 plain ones).  The ticket is from the Raindrop Echo's Halloween Ticket Sentiments again & I finished off with a border punch, brad & a plastic spider.

Time For Another Challenge At The Paper Shelter

This week's challenge at The Paper Shelter is "Harvest" (use orange, green, yellow & browns).  I kept my card pretty simple; mainly so as not to distract from the gorgeous image (The Sweet Gardener) & also cos I thought that flower was quite overpowering lol.  The papers are also from The Paper Shelter & are called "Spring Swing".  I finished off with a large brad, punched vine border, ticket, gems & Glamour Dust. If you use an image from The Paper Shelter you have the chance to win a $20 gift certificate & even if you don't & you are picked you can chose 3 images of your choice from the shop.

Festive Frolics Blog Hop :o)

Wild Rose Studio are having a Festive Frolics blog hop to celebrate their fabulous new Christmas designs.  It finishes tomorrow & it was a bit of struggle to get a card made in time but I managed it, phew!  I used another cd-rom (isn't it funny I've had these CDs a while but haven't used either of them but now I'm on a roll lol) this time I used my Me to You (Tatty Teddy) CD-Rom.  I used my Sakura sparkle pens & added some Stickles to the image.  The papers are digi & I finished with Glamour Dust, gold ribbon, punched holly leaves & gems.  The greeting is also from the CD-Rom.

This week's challenge at Sentimental Sundays is "Fancy Folds" (with a sentiment).  I wasn't sure what to make but I'd had my Humphrey's Corner cd-rom for a while & hadn't really made anything with so thought I would try making a frame card. It wasn't quite as easy as I'd hoped especially as there are no instructions on the cd-rom lol Luckily I found some instructions here.  I'm quite pleased with the outcome & I'm sure my little granddaughter Abigail would like it as she LOVES elephants.  I added a gem, pearls & flowers & the sentiment I believe is from TLC.   I hope you will have a go at some fancy folds & join in the challenge :o)  & if you're looking for more inspiration you need look no further than the fabulous DT!

Cute Baby Alert!

No crafty creations to show today but I thought I would share a couple of photos of my new granddaughter Bethany who was born on 6th August.  She is such a little darling & I can't wait until she (& the rest of the family) come to visit at half term (my son lives in Kent so we don't get to see them much as we would like - thank goodness for Skype & the webcam!).

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend.  We went to see Footloose at the cinema yesterday (we only went cos we had free tickets) & it was absolutely fab! I loved it from beginning to end.  We're off out to lunch with the in-laws a bit later so that's no cooking again for me today - excellent :D
