My Last Challenge for Stampin' for the Weekend :(

It was a really hard decision but it's been difficult  keeping up with my DT commitments lately & I've started jewellery making & am just getting into sewing (with not enough hours in the day). Something had to give (& it was nearly my sanity lol) so I'm having to trim down my design teams, I didn't really want to but apart from giving up my job (which, unfortunately I can't afford to do lol) it was the only option.  I've been part of the SFTW team since 2009! OMG where have the years gone?  I will really miss it.

...Anyway on to the challenge which this time is BINGO & I used the middle line: Glitter/Sparkle, Lace & Butterflies. The cute image is from Di's Digis & coloured with ProMarkers, I used 2 border punches & inked & glitter the edges of the image & sentiment.  I did some machine stitching & finished of with punched butterflies, gems & a lace bow.  There are lots of options with this challenge so I hope you will be able to join us & check out my wonderful teamies to see what they've been creating :)

The challenges:
Challenge up Your Life - Get Well Soon
Moving Along With The Times - Lots of Layers
Digital Tuesday - Make It Sparkle
Cute Card Thursday - Winged Things

It's All About Snow...

Well it is here in the UK we had our coldest night last night -15 they said (or was it -17? Whatever it was is was very cold lol).  This week's Di's Digi Challenge is "It's All About Snow" too which is fab & another excuse to get another Christmas card done :D  I used Di's cute "Snowman Notes"  image & coloured it with ProMarkers, the papers are from Zoe Pearn who is one of my fav designers (they are digi, of course).  I finished off with a die cut poinsettia, charm, chipboard, brad & stamped greeting.  For the snow I used Aleene's Glitter Snow (which I got recently when I won a Simon Says Stamp voucher) it gives a nice texture I think.  Oooh forgot to say I inked & glittered the edges of the papers (& the flower).  I hope you will join us & check out the other DT members who have really come up trumps with some wonderful creations :)  There is the chance to win a $10 voucher to spend at the Joanna Sheen online shop too! New Releases at Jellypark!

It's Friday again (where does the time go?) so that means it's new release time at Jellypark & this week's new releases are "Four Owls" & "Rabbit Bunny Costume".  I used 2 of the Four Owls, I love owls & these are so cute.  I also followed the theme for the new Jellypark Friends challenge which starts today & is "Shades of Love" (to use red, pink or purple).  I made these bookmarks by cutting a rectangle of card, finding the middle & bringing the 2 outer edges to meet in the middle to form the triangle (with an extra bit at the bottom), I taped these together & added some DP so you can't see the join & decorated with the Owls (coloured with PrismaColor pencils), felt border, sequins, die cut heart, gems, eyelet & added some beads & a charm to one of them.  The punched border was made using an EK Success punch.  Check out Jellypark for lots of wonderful images & why not join us for the challenge too :D

First Christmas Card of 2012! :D

Well I've started my Christmas cards (very) early so we will see if I have enough by December (I started in January last year & it didn't make any difference lol).

This week the Sentimental Sundays challenge is Snow, Blue +/or Glitter, I used blue & glitter.  The backing paper is from Dovecraft's "Let it Snow" pad & as you can see I've used my new trimmer with the Victorian blade again :)  The image is "Angel Girl Nativity" from Jellypark & is one of my favs.  I coloured the image with ProMarkers with Glamour Dust on her wings.  I finished the card off with a sparkly ribbon, star gem, tinsel, peel off greeting (I have hundreds of these from when I first started cardmaking - a loooong time ago, so I thought I'd better try & use some up). The Poinsettia was made using my new Spellbinders Shapabilities Layered Poinsettia dies which I love & I glittered them & added a pearl.  Ooh I forgot to say the Kraft card is digi! yes I printed it from a kit from Pink Petticoat & I am soo chuffed as I struggle to find Kraft card & now I can print it off when I like :D
