I really wanted to make something for the Sentimental Sundays "Christmas Tag" challenge as i missed last week but as I said in my post below there are just not enough in hours in the day at the moment so I'm afraid so it another CAS card & I used the new Jellypark "Tag With Ribbon" digi as it is so versatile & coloured it with ProMarkers, added a sticker, used Galaxy Gold Brilliance ink pad to ink the edges & finished with Glamour Dust.  The sentiment again is from Pink Petticoat.  This week we are sponsored by the wonderful Meljen's Designs.

Christmas Gift Box

I can't believe how close it is to Christmas & how unorganised I am (& it's not through want of trying, I started making my cards in January lol).  This weekend I'm definitely putting the tree up in fact I'm going in the loft to get it & the trimmings down when I've finished this post :D  Di's Digi Challenge this week is "Christmas Creation - Anything But a Card" & I made a lil gift box using my Ultimate Pro, I printed some Pink Petticoat papers on to thin card & added a ribbon & flower.  The image I used is "Christmas Cheers", which I chalked & added some Glamour Dust, gems & Aleene's Glitter Snow.  Now is the opportunity to make some Christmas decorations, gifts or packaging so I hope you will join us.

Sorry I haven't been around much but I haven't had a lot of free time & the little I have had has been getting ready for the few craft fayres I've been doing lately (luckily the last one is Friday night so hopefully things can get a bit back to normal (& maybe I can get sorted for Christmas, I've still got quite a few pressies to get & I haven't even thought about writing cards :S).  I was going to put the tree up last Sunday but it's going to have to wait until this weekend (I love Christmas & can't wait to get trimmed up!)

Chistmas IS Coming!

& don't I know it I am sooo behind with everything (including this post).  The challenge at The Paper Shelter Is "Christmas is Coming" & I used my favourite snowman (I adore this lil fella & use him lots).  I coloured him with Prismacolor pencils & added some Stickles glitter glue, I kept it fairly simple (lack of time) finishing off with some ribbon, a die cut snowflake, button, twine & punched tag. (sorry the photo is rubbish but haven't had time to get a better one). Me & hubby are off work this week & hoping to get all the Christmas pressies sorted (well maybe not all lol) & so I have no time for crafting as I'm spending time with him & trying to catch up with other stuff we don't have time for when we're at work. So I've gotta be quick.

Get Well with Sentimental Sundays

This week's challenge at Sentimental Sundays is (as the title suggests) "Get Well".  I made a CAS card, mainly cos of time restraints again.  I love these "Distinguished" papers from The Paper Shelter & I inked the edges with Distress Ink (Walnut Stain), I punched & border & finished off with some gems.  The greeting is from Whimsy Stamps (I think).  I have pierced some holes around the edges but you can't really see in the photo (it was going to be sewn but my sewing machine decided not to work).

Easily Does It!

I hope you're all having a great week, I am so glad today is my day off as we have been sooo short staffed at work & I don't think I could have made it through another day at the pace we have been having to work lol.  As it is Wednesday there is a new challenge at The Paper Shelter & this week it is "Easily Does It", to make an easel card with a Christmas theme (thank goodness as I really need to make more Christmas cards).  I used this cute TPS image called "Are You Ready My Friend?" & went round the edges with my Quickie glue pen & some Glamour Dust.  The papers were free with this month's Papercraft Essentials magazine ( the one with my card on the front ;o) ) & I finished off with some pompom trim, flower & shaker sentiment.  If you play with a Paper Shelter image/design you have the chance of winning a gift voucher worth a whopping $30! Arrrrgggghh....

Why are there not enough hours in the day/days in the week/weeks in a month etc...  In January I said to myself I will be super organised this year & start making my Christmas cards now, which I did.  Why then by November do I only have about 11 made (& I've sold most of them so goodness only knows what I will be giving to my nearest & dearest lol - CAS all the way I think!).  I did start to get ahead with my DT  stuff recently but that's all slipped again :( I was at a craft fayre all day yesterday which went really well :D but I have 3 more before Christmas & have to find time to replenish my jewellery stock (why do I have to go to work!, ooh yeah just remembered to pay for my crafty bits to use lol).

Hence I'm late posting my card for this week's Di's Digi Challenge, which this time is "Fall Colours".  I coloured the cute image with ProMarkers & finished off with some die cuts, flowers, greeting & gems.  I hope you will have time to join us :)

If you read my last blog post you will know that I was over the moon that my card was chosen to be on the cover of this month's Papercraft Essentials magazine.  I think the wonderful "Snowman with Birds" digi stamp from Jellypark had something to do with it as it is gorgeous (as are all the new Jellypark Christmas images).  I coloured it with ProMarkers, the papers are digi (I just love digi papers they are so versatile), from Designs by Krista &  I added Glamour Dust around the image & to the die cut snowflake border finishing the card off with a pompom, greeting & gems.

On the Cover of a Magazine!

I had been feeling a bit fed up today cos we were supposed to be going to the cinema but I have been poorly so couldn't go (very annoying too as I'm on holiday from work & have so much on my To Do list that I wanted to catch up with as well) SOO when I saw that my snowman card was on the cover of this month's Papercraft Essentials it really cheered me up.  I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of the magazine & check out the other Jellypark teamies cards too :D

Hello, I hope you're all having a great weekend - I am! We're just back from visiting my son & his wife & our 3 precious little grandchildren & had a wonderful day with them walking on the beach & exploring :o)  So I'm chasing my tail as usual but luckily I have a week off work this week (& poor ol hubby has to work) so I'm hoping to get ahead of things a bit (that's the plan lol) along with some retail therapy & catching up with friends :D

How Charming...

Too Cute To Spook!

Yaaaahooo....thank goodness it is the weekend, I must say this week has flown by.  As it is Saturday it means time for a new Di's Digi Challenge & this week it is "Too Cute To Spook", Di has so many wonderful Halloween images it was difficult to chose which one to go for but I decided on "Come Fly With Me".  I used chalks again as I love the soft feel but they don't really photograph well.  The papers are digi (can't remember where from, the pumpkins are made with a Sizzix embossing flower & I cut them out & sanded.  I finshed the card off with a Halloween ticket, sparkly ribbon, plastic bats (from Poundland) & some gems.  I hope you can join us & please check out the other DT members creations if you're looking for more inspiration.
