Now For Something Completely Different...

The Sentimental Sundays challenge this week is "Birth Flowers" (or use the colours of your birth flower) + a sentiment.  This card is so out of my comfort zone & not my usual style (& not my favourite either) but that said the image is lovely & from our sponsor this week Heart Song Designs.  My birthday is in September & so my birth flower is Morning Glory.  I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils (I thought it would be a bit softer).  The paper is digi & from Designs by Krista.  I finished off with a ribbon, sentiment, pearls, Glamour Dust & punched vine border.  I hope you can join us &that you'll check out the other DT members fab creations.

The challenges:
Sweet Stampin' - Anything Goes
Simon Says - Anything Goes
Charisma Cardz - Anything Goes

Wow, this weekend is going way too quick.  I've been trying to catch up with my DT work & Christmas cards, I'm behind cos we had the family to stay & very lovely it was too!  I'm also trying to make some more bits of jewellery for my first craft fair which is on 27th November (I'm very excited).

More Halloween! {sorry}

This is the last Halloween card until next year I promise!  The challenge this time at Di's Digi challenge blog is "Halloween or Autumn" & I just love this cute witch image which is called "Now What" so I had to use her (hence another Halloween card & not Autumn lol).  I coloured her with ProMarkers, the papers are digi (Summer Driggs I think as is the sentiment).  I finished off with another spider, some cord, buttons, Glamour Dust & a flower.  Our fab sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen so you have the chance to win crafty goodies of your choice :D  Lots more inspiration as always from the rest of the DT.  Hope you can join us (if you can fit in anymore Halloween crafting lol).

Fancy Dress?

The challenge this week at Jellypark Friends is "Costume" so you don't necessarily have to make a Halloween project although the theme fits that too (& that's what I did) so there's lots of scope :D  My image is called "Boy in Halloween Costume" & is one of the new releases today in the Jellypark store & while you're browsing the store why not check out the fab Jellypark magazine, it's full of projects & inspiration & even a competition!  I coloured the image with ProMarkers, the papers are from Designs by Krista (such a bargain at just $2 for 16 patterned papers & 4 plain ones).  The ticket is from the Raindrop Echo's Halloween Ticket Sentiments again & I finished off with a border punch, brad & a plastic spider.

The challenges (there's quite a few Halloween ones about at the moment):

This week's challenge at Stampin' for the Weekend is "Spooky".  My image is from The Paper Shelter & called "Franky Pastry" (lol), I coloured him with ProMarkers & added black glitter around the edges.  The papers are digi & the bat one is from Designs by Krista (not sure about the other 2).  The ticket sentiment is by Raindrop Echo & I finished off with ribbon & a brad.  Halloween is getting near so why not join in the fun :).  I'm entering my card into the Kraft Outlet's Make it Monday's challenge which is "Spooky Stuff".

Thanks for looking & have a great Friday :D

Time For Another Challenge At The Paper Shelter

This week's challenge at The Paper Shelter is "Harvest" (use orange, green, yellow & browns).  I kept my card pretty simple; mainly so as not to distract from the gorgeous image (The Sweet Gardener) & also cos I thought that flower was quite overpowering lol.  The papers are also from The Paper Shelter & are called "Spring Swing".  I finished off with a large brad, punched vine border, ticket, gems & Glamour Dust. If you use an image from The Paper Shelter you have the chance to win a $20 gift certificate & even if you don't & you are picked you can chose 3 images of your choice from the shop.

Festive Frolics Blog Hop :o)

Wild Rose Studio are having a Festive Frolics blog hop to celebrate their fabulous new Christmas designs.  It finishes tomorrow & it was a bit of struggle to get a card made in time but I managed it, phew!  I used another cd-rom (isn't it funny I've had these CDs a while but haven't used either of them but now I'm on a roll lol) this time I used my Me to You (Tatty Teddy) CD-Rom.  I used my Sakura sparkle pens & added some Stickles to the image.  The papers are digi & I finished with Glamour Dust, gold ribbon, punched holly leaves & gems.  The greeting is also from the CD-Rom.

The challenges:

Right I'm off to visit the DT members blogs to check out all their fab creations... I could be a while :S

It's A Frame Up!

This week's challenge at Sentimental Sundays is "Fancy Folds" (with a sentiment).  I wasn't sure what to make but I'd had my Humphrey's Corner cd-rom for a while & hadn't really made anything with so thought I would try making a frame card. It wasn't quite as easy as I'd hoped especially as there are no instructions on the cd-rom lol Luckily I found some instructions here.  I'm quite pleased with the outcome & I'm sure my little granddaughter Abigail would like it as she LOVES elephants.  I added a gem, pearls & flowers & the sentiment I believe is from TLC.   I hope you will have a go at some fancy folds & join in the challenge :o)  & if you're looking for more inspiration you need look no further than the fabulous DT!

Cute Baby Alert!

No crafty creations to show today but I thought I would share a couple of photos of my new granddaughter Bethany who was born on 6th August.  She is such a little darling & I can't wait until she (& the rest of the family) come to visit at half term (my son lives in Kent so we don't get to see them much as we would like - thank goodness for Skype & the webcam!).

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend.  We went to see Footloose at the cinema yesterday (we only went cos we had free tickets) & it was absolutely fab! I loved it from beginning to end.  We're off out to lunch with the in-laws a bit later so that's no cooking again for me today - excellent :D

Getting Girly at Digi Designs :)

For Di's 3rd challenge on the Digi Designs blog we want to see your "Girly Creations", a favourite theme of mine as I love as things cute & girly :) (Though I didn't find making this card that easy, it actually took me a while to get going with it - I had crafter's block, I'm sure you've all been there but I got there in the end!).   The image I used on my card has actually been retired now but there are soo many wonderful designs in Di's Digi Downloads shop you will be spoilt for choice (though you don't have to use one of her images to enter the challenge).  I coloured the image with ProMarkers & did lots of random stitching.  I finished off with some punched butterflies, flowers, gems, pearls & charms.  I hope you will join us & check out the other DT members creations for more inspiration.  For even more incentive to enter (if you needed any ;) ) we are sponsored by Crafty Boots & there is the chance to win a $10 gift voucher.

Colours of Autumn

The Stampin' For The Weekend challenge for the next fortnight is "Colours of Autumn".  I've had this image from Mo's Digital Pencil for ages & I coloured it with ProMarkers, the edges have been inked & distressed with Glamour Dust added, the papers are digital & the sentiment is from TLC.  I finished the card off with ribbon, a beaded pin, leaf bead & some woollen flowers.  I used the sketch from Bunny Zoe. Our sponsor for this challenge is the fabulous Simon Says Stamp.
