Vintage Christmas

It is soo cold here today.  Yesterday I thought Spring was coming - today it feels it could snow at any moment brrrr.  I managed to make another Christmas card (I must have all of 3 made now woohoo at least it's a start & hopefully will help towards me not having loads to do at the last minute, well that's the plan lol).

This card was made using a Paper Artsy (I think, I've had it ages) rubber stamp which has been glossed with Spray & Shine (I couldn't get a good photo but it looks like a tile), the papers are digi & the ticket was free from Miss Cutiepie.  I distress all the edges & glittered most of them too.  The flower was another dissected flower from a cheap bunch of artificial flowers which I inked & glittered & added some punched foliage, I added a ribbon, bells & the greeting is from Raindrop Echo.

Monday Wotnots at Paper Pretties

Which means new digi releases at Paper Pretties :o).  I used "Bugle Bear", I think he's such fun & would be perfect for a child's card.  I coloured him with ProMarkers & some Glossy Accents on his nose.  The papers are from Scrapbook Mad & I finished off with some card candy, foam stickers & some ribbon.

Friday Release & A Fab Freebie At StampFairy

Friday again, how quickly the weeks are rolling by & another fab new release at StampFairy - this lil fella is called Herb St Patrick's Day & he is just one of the new images (from the same theme) to be released today & there is also a clover leaf freebie!  My card is quite simple: just one sheet of paper from Papermania's Olivine Essence pad, I coloured the image with ProMarkers & gold Glamour Dust & used 2 different corner punches finishing off with flowers, a Good Luck sentiment & the freebie which I sprayed with Spray & Shine & added more Glamour Dust (I've just realised that I have a lucky bingo card that I was going to add but forgot lol).

Hooray For A Days Off!

How lovely to have a day off & it's been absolutely pouring with rain all day so I'm glad I haven't had to bike backwards & forwards to work.  This cold, wet, dreary weather has been making me feel a bit miserable lately so I thought I'd cheer myself up with a bit of retail therapy lol & I bought a couple of things from the Fruit Pixie including this stamp plate which was half price & I thought would be great for Christmas cards.  I also caught a bit of Create & Craft & they had Little Claire Designs demoing & I rather like the RWAV (room with a view) Beach Huts stamp set so might have to treat myself to that too :o).

I made a couple of New Home cards as well today & I've been wanting to use these "Where the Heart is" digi papers & elements for ages, I love these papers by Zoe Pearn (one of my fav designers)  from the Sweet Shoppe.  I did a bit of stitching, inking & added brads, flowers & gem.  Sorry about the rubbish photo but I usually take them outside but as I said no chance of that today with the rain.

Not a Card!

Monday again & this means new digi images at Paper Pretties.  I thought I'd make a corner bookmark for a change, I've not made on of these for ages & they are very handy :o)  I just cut a rectangle, found the center of the shortest side & folded the corners in to make a point (it's easier to do than say, so here's some instructions lol).  This cute sheep image is called "Peeps Sheep" & coloured with ProMarkers, I used double sided card stock, the border is punched with a Martha Stewart punch & I finished off with some beads & a brad.

Sentimental Sundays - Photo Inspiration

This week's challenge at Sentimental Sundays is to use this gorgeous photo (see below) for inspiration (+ a sentiment). This week we are sponsored by Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. I love this image by Di's Digi Downloads called "Quality Time" & I coloured it with ProMarkers,  the papers are from my stash & I finished the card off with sticky ribbon, cord (recycled from a clothes tag) & the fish charm was made using a fish image with I added a bit of colour too & sprayed with "Spray & Shine".  The sentiments are from a great digi set called "Great Day to Fish" from Raindrop Echo Designs.  The design team have really excelled themselves this week so I hope you'll check out their blogs for loads more inspiration.

 Hope you're all having a fabulous weekend.  I've got nothing special on; shopping yesterday & some housework ( I managed to fit some crafting in too :o)  ) & today much of the same (no more shopping though!) I don't mind though I love being at home, especially after a long week at work (we had half day training on my day off last week - how cruel is that lol)

The challenge at SFTW starting today is "Monochromatic".  The image I used is from Sassy Cheryls & I coloured it with Distress Inks (I haven't used them for ages & it made a nice change).  The papers were a freebie from Computer Scrapbook & I distressed the edges, the butterflies are punched & inked & I finished of with some flowers (with added Glamour Dust), lace, a doily & some pearls.

Clementine Carrot

Clementine Carrots is one of the cute new releases today at StampFairy & to go with these fab images there is a another freebie image too :)  For my card I used some digi papers I had lurking about my Martha Stewart border punch.  Clementine was printed on to pink paper & some Glossy Accents added for her nose & a bit of Glamour Dust to her ears & feet; I gave 2 bows in her hair & a flower (punched).  The carrot bunting was made with the freebie carrot image & the sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Designs new Spring Sentiments.  I finished off with lots of gems.  Looking for more inspiration then check out the gorgeous creations from the Design Team.

I love faires & when I saw this freebie on the Fairydoodler blog I just had to use her.  I coloured her with ProMarkers, her wings are paper pieced & coloured with Sakura glitter gel pens,  the papers are from my stash, the ticket is a stamp from Rainbow Echo Designs.  I finished off with a flower (dissected from a bunch of artificial flowers), ribbon, charms, punched butterfly, beads, Glamour Dust & a brad.

The Sentimental Sundays challenge this week is a colour challenge: Pink, Red & White & we are sponsored by Meljens Designs.  For my card I used "Lovin' Turtle" which I coloured with ProMarkers (the shell is paper pieced).  The papers are from StampFairy & the sentiment is by Raindrop Echo, I finished it off with a cut out heart, ribbon & some staples.  The inside was decorated with more paper & another sentiment (can't remember where this one was from sorry).  I kept it simple cos Mark (hubby) doesn't like anything to fussy lol.

StampFairy New Releases

Happy Friday everyone, thank goodness it's nearly the weekend (although is my turn to work again tomorrow, it seems to come round quicker and quicker).  Every Friday there is a new release at StampFairy & today it is this cute lil fella called "Toby Love" & also a fantastic free image that works perfectly with him as you can see on my box.  I made the box using my Ultimate Pro (it makes boxes of all sizes so quick & easily) & some red/pink pearlised card & some green/blue glittery card.  I paper pieced Toby & the hearts & just finished off with a dab of ProMarkers here & there.  I finished the box off with some flowers I've had lurking in my stash for ages & some punched leaves.

Not a Card & a Bit of Shrink Plastic...

It's Friday so there are new releases at StampFairy & this week it is Linda Fairy & there is also a fabulous freebie circle sentiment.  I love fairies & as one of my New Year's resolutions was to make some jewellery I thought I'd make a key-chain.  I printed the image on to printable shrink plastic. coloured it with pencils, cut it out & punched a hole for the jump ring to attach it to the chain; then heated it with a heat gun - et voila! so to speak lol.  I threaded various beads on to eye pins & attached to the chain finishing off with a Love charm.  There are some gorgeous cards from the DT for lots more inspiration :)
