Santa's Been!

Well Christmas is over for another year though I must admit I still count the days in between Christmas & New Year as "Christmas Time" lol. Father Christmas came ;o) & I got lots of lovely pressies including some gorgeous crafting goodies.

This card was made using my new Basic Grey "Infuse" papers given to my from my dear friend Linda. I am so pleased that now I have some BG papers I can enter their challenge which at the moment is "Going Green" & to use something recycled on your card. I used some cardboard off a box & some ribbon off a present. I used sketch #28 by Mariska from Sketch Saturday as their challenge is to use one of the sketches from any of their previous challenges.

It was so nice to fit in a bit of crafting today especially as I had to go to work this morning (& at 8.00 am how awful is that the day after Boxing Day lol) so I wasn't sure if I'd be too tired. Hopefully I will have a bit more time in the New Year to be creative.

Coffee & Cake Card

I really enjoyed making this card as I haven't made a card for ages with all the Christmas preparations & everything.

The card has 2 of my favouritest things in the world (apart from family lol) I've called it coffee & cake card (mainly because the papers are coffee coloured) but for me it would have to be a cup of tea & cake :o).
It was made for the Just Christmas & Birthday Cards "Extra Challenge 3". I stamped images of Coffees (or teas) & a cupcake, used Pink Petticoat papers & finished off with sticky ribbons, flowers, gems & a peel off greeting.

Last Kaboodle Doodles Challenge b4 Christmas

I nearly forgot to post this. The last Kaboodle Doodles challenge before Christmas is "For the Boys".

This card is made using the Kaboodle Doodles Green paper kit, some ribbon, red card, Stampin Up "Riveting" greeting & decoupage image (sorry can't remember where that's from).

Wedding Card

My very special friend Kelly is getting married on Saturday & I'm really looking forward to it. She is getting married at Yaxley Hall, Eye in Suffolk which looks gorgeous especially as it will be all decorated for Christmas. I thought I would keep the card quite simple; I stamped a wedding cake & embossed it in gold used burgundy papers & cream pearl card, finishing off with a peel off greeting & some organza ribbon tied in a big bow.

I've incorporated 2 challenges: Dutch Dare which is "Food & Drinks" & the sketch is from Cupcake.

Trim the Tree!

I thought I'd have a change from making cards (not that I've made that many lately) & when I saw the instructions to make these cute lil Birdhouse Christmas tree decorations (or you could make them for any occasion) I had to have a go at making them & I'm really pleased with how they turned out :o) It reminded me how much I enjoy paper crafting as well as card making & hopefully I will have time in the New Year to do some more.

You can find the instructions on Capture the Moment's blog & there are lots of other instructions & inspiration there too. I used gorgeous papers (printed onto card) from Designs by Krista's Christmas Memories & Chilly kits. The instructions use Nestabilities but as I haven't got these I used scalloped edge scissors.

These decorations are also my entry for this week's Double Dutch challenge which is to make a Christmas tree ornament.

Kaboodle Doodles Embossing Challenge

This was a bit of a rush this week (infact it is a rush every week recently). But I was pleased I got my Cuttlebug embossing folder (Swiss Dots) to work on my old faithful Zip-e-Mate at last lol.

As you can see from the title of this post the Kaboodle Doodles challenge this week is "Embossing" & I did the bit of embossing for the backing with the embossing folder & used the Kaboodle Doodle Blue paper kit (stamped with stars). This image has got to be my favourite Christmas stamp which I got on ebay, it is by Stampendous! & is called "The Nativity Cast". I coloured it in with Twinkling H2os & added glitter glue, sticky ribbon, gems, flowers, brad & a peel off greeting.

Cupcake & Crafty Creations Challenges

Hooray a challenge (or 2) at last :o)

This card was made for my fantastic hubby Mark, it is definitely not the usual type of Christmas card I would make for him, it would usually be a cute & cuddly one but I thought I'd have a change this year.

The papers and image are from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Christmas CD & I added ribbons, flowers & glitter glue. The challenge at Cupcake this week is "Vintage" so this card fits perfectly & the Crafty Creations challenge is "Holiday Wishes".

First post of December :-)

I can't believe it is 6th December already, where has the time gone. I've been busy with Christmas stuff & work has been sooo short staffed I've been too tired to do much crafting (& I've lost my mojo too to top it all!)

I've managed to make this card because Liz over on the Pink Petticoat blog is offering one lucky winner the prize of an "MM Slice Starter Kit" & luckily Pink Petticoat papers are so fab they usually give me inspiration. You never know perhaps I'll actually get round to doing some more crafting this weekend.
