I love this image from Di's Digi Downloads called "Ellies Bathtime" & I've used her for this week's Digi Challenge which is "Embossing".  For some reason I couldn't get my embossing folders to work in my Big Shot so I used some foiled & embossed paper (from Craftwork Cards).  I coloured the image with ProMarkers added (the obligatory) Glamour Dust & some Glossy Accents for the water.  The finishing touches were a doily, flowers, greeting, flowers & pearls.  There is the chance to win $10 gift voucher from our wonderful sponsor Joanna Sheen :)

Hugs & Fishes!

I hope you're all having a great week, I've been off work for a couple of days with a bad back :( so everything has been challenging & very frustrating as I have so much to do.  I hoping to go back tomorrow but the thought of sitting a chair for 8 hours fills me with dread (I'm better keeping moving or lying flat lol) .  I did mange to finish my card for this week's challenge at The Paper Shelter however, which is "Paper Piecing".  I love this cute image called "Love Bubbles", I added some shading with ProMarkers & used Glossy Accents on the bubbles.  The papers are digi & FREE from Everyday Mom Ideas & I used my sewing machine around the edges, finishing off with some Glamour Dust, buttons & some fish charms.  I hope you can join us as there is the chance to win some fabulous images of your choice ($20 gift voucher to spend at TPS if you use one of their images & even if you don't you could still win 3 of their gorgeous images).

Time for a Bit of Recycling :o)

The challenge this week at Sentimental Sundays is "Go Green or Recycle" This week we have a fab sponsor - Bugaboo so I hope you will join us. I chose to recycle & I made a CAS card! Very, very unusual for me & I'm not sure if I like it lol.  The baubles are made with Memory Box dies, the tartan card I used for the bauble was from a Christmas cracker & the ribbon was from a cardigan (the loops to hang it up). The paper is from the Dovecraft "Noel" pad (that I've had for ages), I inked the edges with a Galaxy Gold Brilliance ink pad & stamped a greeting.  I thought I'd better decorate the inside as the card was so plain lol so I stamped inside, added a blank bauble (to write in) & finished off the card with some gems.  At least that's another Christmas card done :D I've not done one for a while (even though I'm supposed to be super organised this year).

This is the inside
The challenges:
Sparkle Creations - Christmas (option inspirational photo)
PaperPlay - Recycle
The Perfect Sentiment - Christmas Trimmings
Scrapalicious USA - Anything Goes
Hotshot Craft - Ribbon
Stamp, Scrap & Doodle - Use Your Stash

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend :D We're off to Norwich this afternoon to meet our son for lunch & a bit of shopping so I'm looking forward to that.

This week's challenge at The Paper Shelter is everyone's favorite "Anything Goes" :D  For my card I used this fab image called "Japanese Cute Doll" which comes complete with background!  As you can see I used the coloured version again (these are so handy especially at the moment when there aren't enough hours in the day lol).  I added some gold foiled backing paper, some heart charms (which I coloured gold & glittered), ribbon, some gems & finished off with a greeting. You can win $20 to spend on The Paper Shelter website and if you have used one of their images on your card, but even if you haven't they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, so you have nothing to loose :o)

For my card I used "Cute Little Girl Holding Some Thank You Bunting" which I coloured with chalks for a softer look.  I used strips of paper (again) as I like the patchwork feel this gives & finished the card off with stamped bunting, die cut felt flower & some flower buttons.

My Last Challenge for Stampin' for the Weekend :(

It was a really hard decision but it's been difficult  keeping up with my DT commitments lately & I've started jewellery making & am just getting into sewing (with not enough hours in the day). Something had to give (& it was nearly my sanity lol) so I'm having to trim down my design teams, I didn't really want to but apart from giving up my job (which, unfortunately I can't afford to do lol) it was the only option.  I've been part of the SFTW team since 2009! OMG where have the years gone?  I will really miss it.

...Anyway on to the challenge which this time is BINGO & I used the middle line: Glitter/Sparkle, Lace & Butterflies. The cute image is from Di's Digis & coloured with ProMarkers, I used 2 border punches & inked & glitter the edges of the image & sentiment.  I did some machine stitching & finished of with punched butterflies, gems & a lace bow.  There are lots of options with this challenge so I hope you will be able to join us & check out my wonderful teamies to see what they've been creating :)

It's All About Snow...

Well it is here in the UK we had our coldest night last night -15 they said (or was it -17? Whatever it was is was very cold lol).  This week's Di's Digi Challenge is "It's All About Snow" too which is fab & another excuse to get another Christmas card done :D  I used Di's cute "Snowman Notes"  image & coloured it with ProMarkers, the papers are from Zoe Pearn who is one of my fav designers (they are digi, of course).  I finished off with a die cut poinsettia, charm, chipboard, brad & stamped greeting.  For the snow I used Aleene's Glitter Snow (which I got recently when I won a Simon Says Stamp voucher) it gives a nice texture I think.  Oooh forgot to say I inked & glittered the edges of the papers (& the flower).  I hope you will join us & check out the other DT members who have really come up trumps with some wonderful creations :)  There is the chance to win a $10 voucher to spend at the Joanna Sheen online shop too! New Releases at Jellypark!
