Flowers, Flowers, Flowers...

This week's challenge at Sentimental Sundays is...have you guessed it yet..."Flowers" (with a sentiment).  There are so many different types of flowers & ways to use them that I'm hoping lots of you will join us. We have a wonderful sponsor this week "From the Heart" & the DT were lucky enough to chose an image from them, it was a hard decision but I chose this cute one called "Kitten Flowerpot".  I coloured the image with ProMarkers, used my Cheery Lynn doily die & finished off with Glamour Dust, ribbon, button & greeting.  I was looking for inspiration & I remembered one of my favourite Jellypark cards & cased that lol

I hope you're having a great weekend.  I'm really excited cos I'm going to Kent today with my youngest son Stuart to see Craig (oldest son) & Zoe (DIL) & grandchildren Ryan, Abigail & Bethany (so I will be scheduling this card - hopefully it's worked).  Stuart is probably more excited than me cos he hasn't seen them since their wedding in July.

Time to Get in Shape!

Well, my New Years Resolution this year is to get fitter & tone up (I bike to work so I do get some exercise), the main reason being cos we've booked a holiday & I want to look half decent in a bikini, (mind you Mark (hubby) will be the only one who's going to see me lol) & do you know what... I'm really enjoying  it, I get up early to do exercises before work & boy I don't half enjoy my breakfast after lol - well when I say "enjoying" perhaps that is not the right word cos sometimes it is VERY difficult to drag myself out of bed but I do feel better afterwards :D  

The reason for mention this is this week's challenge at Jellypark Friends is "Get in Shape" (use shapes on your creations).  I've made a bookmark with some Craftwork Cards Kraft card & used my MFT hexagon die & a corner punch.  The image I used is Claire's newest charity image (Claire is Jellypark's very talented illustrator) & 100% of the money raised selling this will go to The Sick Children's Trust.  Isn't he adorable?  I paper pieced his hat & onesie & coloured his face with ProMarkers.  I finished the bookmark with my fence border punch (Martha Stewart) & some ribbon.  I hope you will check out all the Jellypark charity & other wonderful images.

100th Challenge at The Paper Shelter!

Wow! Can you believe it's The Paper Shelter's 100th challenge & our challenge is "Celebrations" (of course) & if you play along there is the chance to win 1 of 5 gift certificates worth $20 dollars each (yes, there's 5 chances to win, how cool is that!).  I kept my birthday card CAS & used TPS's fab "Birthday Cupcake" image which I edged with Glamour Dust.  The greeting is stamped & I finished off with some die cut bunting.  I hope you will be able to join in the fun :D

I hope you're having a great week :)  Mine started really well - Sunday night my son Craig, DIL Zoe & our 3 adorable grandchildren stopped by on their way to Butlins for a holiday so I was able to spend a few hours with them before I went to work on Monday morning  :D 

Lace & Pearls

Thank goodness for weekends :D  I am absolutely worn out from work this week - don't you just love Friday night when you finish work & you have the whole weekend ahead.  As it is Saturday it means a new Di's Digi Challenge & this week it is "Lace & Pearls".  I used one of Di's gorgeous coloured images (really helpful when you're having a busy week & not much time/energy for crafting) called "Izzy With Little Bird".  The papers were free with a magazine & I did some machine stitching.  I finished the card with rolled flowers, padded fabric flower, punched ink & glittered butterfly, greeting, lace, pearls & I made a flower with lace a pearl & some beads.  Our fab sponsor this time is "My Time Made Easy", I hope you can find time to join us :o)

This week's challenge at Sentimental Sundays is "Love is in the Air" & we are sponsored by Simply Betty Stamps.  The design team were lucky enough to chose an image from SBS & I chose "I Love Chocolate Rio" & coloured her with ProMarkers & I was looking for some valentines papers I found these ones from Just Jaimee with some fab elements too & thought they were perfect :D  I finshed off with a die cut border & some Bakers Twine.  I hope you can join us this week & you don't have to make a Valentine's card it can be anything to do with LOVE (**V**)

New Releases at Jellypark :o)

It's Friday so that means wonderful new releases at Jellypark :D  For my card I used "Heart Dress & Handbag" image which I coloured in with ProMarkers.  I used my Craftwork Cards kraft card again (I love this) & finished off the card with some stamped shows & punched tags.  The other new release is called "Sending to U my Love" & is perfect for Valentine's Day :D  This fortnight's challenge at Jellypark Friends also starts today and is called "So Sweet" so I hope you will join us & show us your Sweet Treats!

Notebooks

I love notebooks & I always have them full of lists: things to do, wish lists etc :D  so when I saw these blank notebooks in Poundland I thought they would be perfect to alter.  As you can see I kept them REALLY simple but I love this "Sophie in the Country" image from The Paper Shelter & didn't think they needed anything else, just a bit of ribbon - Less is (sometimes) More lol. The Kraft card is from Craftwork Cards. This week's challenge at The Paper Shelter is "Alter Something or a Card with at least 3 folds".  As always we have our gift certificate up for grabs at our challenges. It's worth $30 and it can be yours is if you play with a TPS image and are  drawn by Mr Random. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three digis of your choice, so it's a win, win situation :D

Celebrating the New

This week the  challenge at Sentimental Sundays is "Celebrating  the New" & I've made a New Baby card using this cute image from Jellypark called "New Baby With Teddy" which I coloured with Prismacolor pencils (again!).  I used my new Die-Namics hexagon die for the border & finished the card a doily, banner, punched heart & stamped greeting.  We have 2 wonderful sponsors this week: MilkCoffee & Whimsy Stamps.  There's lots more inspiration from our (ginormous) design team :D so why not check them out & join in the fun.

Hooray for the weekend!  Today see's the start of another Di's Digi Challenge & this time the theme is "Valentine's Day/Love".  I made a gift box using this cute "Maurice With Love" digi & coloured it in with Prismacolor pencils.  I added a bit of Glamour Dust & some pearls mounted it on a doily & finished off the corners with flowers & pearls.  The DP is from Pink Petticoat.  Our fab sponsor for this challenge is "Marker Pop".  Hopefully you will be able to join us & make something for someone you love :o)
