Anything Goes at The Paper Shelter!

This week's challenge at The Paper Shelter is "Anything Goes" (so no excuses for not entering ;) ).  TPS have some wonderful digital images & papers & for my card (which was for my MIL's 70th Birthday) I used their gorgeous "Arizona Fantasy" pack which includes images (black & white & colour), tags, papers and more.  I printed the paper on to velum & punched a lace border, I added some Shimmerz paint to the petals (though you can't see it in the photo).  The doily was made using my Cheery Lynn French Pastry die & I finished off with corners, pearls, bow, Glamour Dust & a sentiment.

As always we have a gift certificate up for grabs for our winner. It's worth $20 and it can be yours if you use a Paper Shelter image on your creation. If you play with another brand you have a chance to win three digi's of your choice :D

The challenges:
Crafty Sentiments - Flowers
The Crazy Challenge - Anything Goes
Sassy Cheryl's - Birthday
A&T Emerald Faeries - Punches & Dies
Bearly Mine - Anything Goes

Lollipop - Anything Goes

I hope you're all having a great week.  I'm talking to my grandchildren on the webcam while writing this - the best way to start a day off!

Hooray For Weekends!

Thank goodness it is the weekend!  This week has been so busy at work with people on holiday & off sick (& in a small surgery like ours you really notice it).  As it's Saturday it means time for another Di's Digi Challenge which this time is "Wedding, Anniversary, Engagement".  As you can see I made an Anniversary card with this fab image called "Secret Kiss" but you could use it to make an Engagement card or just an I Love You card :D  I coloured it with Prismacolor pencils & kept the card really simple: just using one dp, ribbon, flowers, pearls & finishing off with a punched tag with digi greeting.  I kept it really simple to show off the image :) (& I didn't have much time ;) ).  Our fab sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen!  I hope you can find time to join us :D

The challenges:
Tammy's Scrappin Corner - Add Some Flowers
Paper Pretties - Square Cards
Critter - Digi Week
Sweet Stampin' - Weddings & Anniversaries
Craft Your Days Away - Anything Goes
Really Reasonable Ribbon - Purple Pizazz (& ribbon)
Pink Gem - Animals or Teddies

Have a fab weekend & hope you're  enjoying the sunshine as we are here on the east coast.  The In-laws are doing the first BBQ of the year tomorrow so I'm looking forward to that.

Bee Happy!

I can't believe it is Friday already, why do weeks off work always fly by???!  At lease we still have 3 days of nice stuff left to do - today we are taking hubby's parents to North Norfolk to go on the steam railway, have a wander & get some lunch, tomorrow we're off to Kent for the day to see Craig (eldest son, who just got married) as it is his birthday Sunday & Sunday it is MIL's 70th birthday (yes same day as Craig - & FIL's birthday is the same day as my youngest son Stuart! - what are the chances of that lol) so we are out for a meal in the afternoon to celebrate :D

As it is Friday it is time for a new challenge at Jellypark Friends & this week it is "Summer Bugs".  Did you know that the is a new Jellypark Club?  It's entirely free stuff& your can grab yourselves some freebies like this fab image I used for my card & lots of other cool stuff.  I coloured my image with PrismaColor pencils & used Glamour Dust on the wings & trail, the paper is from The Paper Shelter & I thought it was just perfect for this card, the greeting comes with the image & I finished off with some stamping, eyelet, charm, pearls, wooden butterfly & ladybird & some googly eyes.  I hope you can join the challenge & while your there why not check out the 2 new wonderful images released today too.

Happy Birthday Bethany!

It was my youngest granddaughter Bethany's 1st birthday on Monday & I made this card for her (it was a bit of a rush job unfortunately & I'm not very pleased with it but at least with her being only 1 I'm sure she won't mind ;) ).  I used The Paper Shelter's cute image called "Happy Birthday to Me!" (thank goodness for the option of pre-coloured images). The papers were from my stash & I finished off with Glamour Dust, die cut heart & No.1, ribbon, gems, sentiment & charm.  This week's challenge at The Paper Shelter is "Going Round & Round", they would like to see circles &/or spots & dots.  We have as usual our gift voucher up worth $20 up for grabs if you play with a Paper Shelter image. Using a different brand will give you the chance of winning three digis of your own choice - how fab is that! You have nothing to loose :D

I'm Back & I Have Exciting News...

Hello everyone, sorry I've been AWOL but I have a very good excuse :D My eldest son Craig got married to his long-term girlfriend Zoe (they have 3 adorable children so it's about time they made it official lol ;) ).  We had a long weekend down in Kent (where they live & the wedding was) which was wonderful & the wedding day was just perfect in every way.  I will post photos soon for anyone who is interested. (I made some jewellery to go with my outfit & if you want a lil peek it is HERE :)

Sorry this photo is rubbish (I don't have the card to redo)
Those of you who follow my blog or visit me (thank you, I do appreciate it!) will know that I am part of the Jellypark design team & Claire our wonderful illustrator has generously made a CD full of her gorgeous images to be given free with this month's Complete Cardmaking magazine & the DT were asked to make some cards with the images on the disc - how cool is that!  I haven't actually seen the magazine yet (I ordered it yesterday & can't wait for it to arrive) & my card is on the front cover :D  While I'm talking about Jellypark Claire has started a Jellypark Club which will have lots of freebies & special offers for members.  This fortnight's challenge at Jellypark Friends is "Olympic Fever" if you fancy entering (you can use any image).

I would like to enter my card for these challenges:
Totally Gojuss - Pearls
Creative Inspirations - In the Garden
The Poodles Parlour - Anything Goes
Once Stop Craft - Just Good Friends
Crafty Catz - All That Glitters
The Crafty Pad - Things with Wings

Oops I nearly forgot to tell you how I made the card ... or should I say buy the mag ;)  The papers were from my stash & I did some machine stitching around the edges.  The image was die cut & the edges inked & glittered (Glamour Dust).  I finished off with a doily, various flowers, pearls, punched butterflies & a stamped sentiment.
