Vintage/Shabby Chic at The Paper Shelter

I hope you're all having a great week, I've not had so much time for crafting lately (a combination of various things spending more time with hubby :D, work :(, jewellery making & sewing) - there just aren't enough hours in the day.  I really enjoyed making this card for The Paper Shelter's new challenge which is "Vintage or Shabby Chic".  This gorgeous image I used is called "So Stylish" & I coloured it with ProMarkers, the beautiful papers are also from TPS & are called "Distinguished".  I did some machine stitching around all the edges (which I also distressed) & finished the card off with flowers, doily, lace, die cute leaves & corner, stamped ticket, pearls & Glamour Dust.  I also decorated the inside too :D

Bling It On!

 So glad the weekend has finally come & I'm chasing my tail trying to get everything done (wish me luck).  We did have some wonderful news this week though - my youngest son Stuart who was made redundant from Gamestation a few weeks ago (they closed lots of their shops & went into receivership) has got a new job! He will be a supervisor at Toys R Us (& there hopefully there is room for progression within the company too) & tomorrow we are taking him out to celebrate (which means I've really got to pull my finger out today lol).

Today is the start of a new Di's Digi Challenge which is "Bling It On", nice & easy if like me you like all things pretty, sparkly & girly like me :D  This cute image I used is called "Fly Free Little Bird" & I coloured it with ProMarkers, I used a Martha Stewart border punch, added a doily & finished off with flowers, greeting & lots of Glamour Dust & gems (oh & a corner die too).  I hope you can join us and there is the chance to win a $10 voucher for Joanna Sheen :)

It's All Wishi Washi

Hello everyone, I you're all having a great week & looking forward to the weekend :) I've been feeling a bit rough for the last week, I had a cold which wasn't too bad & I thought it had nearly gone but for the last couple of days I've been bunged up with headache & horrible cough :(  & as I've been below par I haven't had much mojo or felt like crafting (shock, horror!) BUT I did (eventually) manage to get my Jellypark Friends challenge card done!  This week the theme is "Wishi Washi" (to use Washi tape & office supplies on your card).  As I don't have any Washi tape I made some with patterned paper & double sided tape.  I used a metal clip & a treasury tag & my image is "Boy in Oversized Jumper" which I coloured with ProMarkers.  There is a fabulous new digital image today too which you really should check out.  I know this challenge will get you thinking but I hope you will be able to join us :D

New Challenge at The Paper Shelter

Yes it's Wednesday & that is good on 2 counts: the first is it's my day off (Hooray! Though I'm a bit concerned that I won't have time to get all I need to done as I've got behind with everything cos we've been away the last couple of weekends & last Wednesday I was ill so couldn't get anything done) secondly it's time for a new challenge at The Paper Shelter & this week it is "Birthday with a Sentiment".  There is the chance to win $20 to spend on The Paper Shelter website and if you have used one of their images on your creation but even if you haven't they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, how fab is that :o)

For my card I used one of my favourite images (pre coloured for quickness).  The papers are digi & I finished the card with butterfly punches, corner punch, stamped greeting, lace gems & Glamour Dust.

Spring Has Sprung!

Well Spring hasn't sprung here unfortunately, it still freezing cold & very wet but at least we have Di's Digi Challenge to get us in the mood for Spring :)  This cute image that I used is called "Home Tweet Home" & I coloured it with ProMarkers.  The papers are digi (from Bearly Mine I believe). I finished the card with various flowers & I have decorated the inside too.  We have a wonderful prize this week $25 from our fab sponsor There She Goes.  No challenges for this card as as I am away & as this is scheduled I haven't got access to the internet to link them up.  Enjoy your weekend!

New Releases at Jellypark

I love all of Claire's gorgeous images but this cute mermaid has to be one of my favourites, isn't she adorable?  I coloured her with ProMarkers & this time I thought I'd make an easel card as I'd not made one for a while.  The papers are digi from Jessica Sprague.  I kept the card quite simple as I didn't want to detract from the image, just adding a ribbon, fabric crab & sizzlits cloud/rainbow charm die cut.  I kept telling myself I mustn't forget to put something in the centres of the the flowers in her hair but guess what I forgot until after I had taken the photo lol (they do now have pearl centres though).  There's also a new challenge starting today at Jellypark Friends which is "Girly Girl" if you want to join in (& most of us love all things girly - I know I do!).

Sketch Time at The Paper Shelter
