Willow Sketchie Challenge

It's been a long day today, we had Basic Life Support training at work & then I still had to work til 6.30 (we usually get to go home early on a training day) so I'm feeling a bit whacked tonight but at least it's my day off tomorrow (hooray!)

It's been a while since I've entered the Willow Sketchie challenge & this time they have an added incentive: you can win a Letraset wallet filled with ProMarkers! (the sketches are always fab too).  I kept my card quite simple cos I didn't want to hide this gorgeous sparkly paper which is from the "Up, Up & Away" paper pad from First Edition.  The image is from The Paper Shelter & called "Sleepyhead Moon", the sentiment is from Raindrop Echo & I finished the card of with some ribbon & a charm.

 The challenges:
Truly Scrumptious - Clean & Simple
Paper Sundaes - Anything Goes
Critter - Anything Goes
Creative Inspirations - Let's Celebrate (10)
Allsorts - Clean & Simple
My Craft Spot - Ribbon
Paper Makeup Stamps - Size Matters
Celebrate the Occasion - Any Occasion (must use ribbon)

Thanks for looking & I hope you're having a great week :)

Make Your Own Flowers :)

Thank you so much to all who entered Di's Digi Designs 1st challenge & it's time for the 2nd challenge which is "Make Your Own Flowers", I tried to make a fabric flower with 6 petals all gathered in the middle but it just wasn't happening lol (I need more practice, I'm hoping to make one good enough to be used on my DT sample for tomorrow but not sure if I will) SO I ended up making the old favourite rolled flowers but I did use felt for a change :)  The paper is digi & was  free I believe (I will try & remember where from & post the link) - FOUND IT: it is from Computer Scrapbook & called "Garden Path" (there are loads of fabulous free kits on there). I used Di's image called "Off for a Walk" & coloured it with ProMarkers, finishing the card with punched & glittered butterlies, pearls, lace & a greeting. Our fab sponsor is Joanna Sheen.

Keeping It Nice & Easy...

The Paper Shelter challenge this week is the old favourite of "Anything Goes" so no excuses not to join in ;)  I've made a wedding card for a change using TPS cute image called "The Happy Couple" as you can see I used the coloured image (short of time again & it is so handy getting the images in colour or the b&w outline).  The papers are from Dovecraft & they have been in my stash for ages.  I used my new Martha Stewart border punch & finished off with a rub-on greeting, flowers, pearls, ribbon & charm (ooh & a smattering bit of Glamour Dust).  I decorated the inside with the reverse of the papers used on the front.  I hope you will join us & check the other DT members fab creations for lots of inspiration.

As always we have a lovely prize for you. If you use a TPS image you have the chance of winning a wooping $20 gift certificate, and if you chose not to use a TPS image and still want to play, you have the chance to win a digi of your own choice. How great isn't that?

The challenges:

Card Makin Mamas - Punches
Pollycraft - Swirls & Pearls
PaperPlay - Punches & Dies
Digital Tuesday - People Images
Cardmadfairy - Lots of layers (+ digi)

I hope you're all having a good week & managing to fit some crafting in.   I had 2 days without food, only clear fluids as I had a little hospital procedure yesterday - I couldn't wait for cup of tea & a teacake when I got home.  Hopefully I can get back to normal today (my friends say I'm a grazer: I like to eat little & often lol) & as it's my day off  I'm hoping to get back on track with my crafting :D

What a Great Week...

I hope you've all had a great week.  I have: the beginning of the week was spent in the Cotswolds for a nice relaxing break with my hubby & Friday was my birthday which was spent with my friend Kelly & her little boy & also my brother & nephew. Then I spoke to my  darling grandchildren (& son & DIL) on the webcam & we went out for a lovely meal in the evening.  GUESS what I got for my birthday - lots of crafty goodies lol (I've finally upgraded my Zip-e-Mate to a Big Shot). Anyway that also explains why I haven't blogged anything for a week (& also why I haven't been able to comment but I am trying to catch up now).

This card was made for the Sentimental Sundays challenge which is Monochromatic, I found this image on The Graphics Fairy Blog (& the label image too)  & just added a touch of metallic rub-ons.  I used some Muslin, a small doily, flowers, greeting & I made a decorative pin using a headpin & some beads (from my jewellery making stash).  I decorated  the inside very simply  to match.
