Happy Monday :o)

It is a very happy Monday for me cos I have an extra day off today :o)  I spent this morning sitting in my Aunty's garden having a good ol' chin wag, I had to rush home though (& rush I did & it was v hot biking) as the cable guy should be coming to fix our cable tv box (between 12 & 4 so we'll see - it is 1 now & I daren't have my lunch in case he comes when I'm half way through it lol.

I saw this image on A Day For Daisies & fell in love with it & had to make a card, I did it the theme of their challenge which is "Pastels But NO Pink".  I coloured the image with ProMarkers & added Glamour Dust to the wings,  I did a bit of paper piercing & stitching, used some velum (I've not used velum for ages) & finished off with lace, ribbon, flowers, buttons, pearl brad, punched butterflies, gems & a couple of tags.

Wooo Weekend!

Hooray for weekends!  I'm so glad it is Saturday even though I had to work this morning - it was ok though cos it was the last Saturday I have to work for a while (hopefully indefinitely) :o)  I hope you're all having a good weekend, it has been freezing here today & it is  meant to be the start of a heatwave tomorrow so it is gonna have warm up by about at least 15 degrees lol.

I've made a rare non-girly card  (though I am trying to do more cards for those awkward males). I love this image called "On the Bench" from Di's Digi Downloads again (I love her images & am so lucky to be on her design team).  I used ProMarkers & some chalk to colour the image, the papers are digi & I finished off with punched stars, twine, buttons & pearls.  The ticket is a stamp from Raindrop Echo Designs.

Stampin' For The Weekend - My Favorite Things

We're being really kind to you this fortnight because the challenge at Stampin' For The Weekend is to use your favorite things - you pick the theme, the colours & the sketch & just tell us what your favorite things are - it doesn't get much better than this lol ;o)  For my card I used this gorgeous image called "Have a Splash" from Di's Digi Downloads which I coloured with ProMarkers.  The papers are digi & I finished off with a doily, flowers, beads, ribbon, gems & a charm (all of which are some of my favorite crafty things).  I'd like to enter this card for the Emerald Faerie Garden challenge too which is petals :o)

This Week's Friday Release at StampFairy

I hope you've all had a wonderful week, the weather has been very odd here: torrential rain & thunderstorms one minute & glorious sunshine the next (not so much of the sun though unfortunately).  I have managed (so far) to keep dry on my bike ride to/from work.  

This week's Friday release at StampFairy are these cute lil snail images.  I've made another bookmark but not a corner one this time, just a simple one with a couple of layers of card.  The image was coloured with ProMarkers & Glamour Dusted round the edges, I finished off with a puffy star, ribbon, gems & some staples.  Don't forget the free image every week & why not check out the DT creations for lots of inspiration.

Sentimental Sundays "Celebrate Summer" Blog Hop!

Hello, I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend & welcome the the Sentimental Sundays "Celebrate Summer" Blog Hop.  Tuesday 21st June is the official 1st day of summer in the northern hemisphere and we are ready for all the summer fun to begin :o).  For our friends down under who are moving into winter & may not feel like creating a summery project they are welcome to create something sparkly or shimmery. My card is made using an image from StampFairy called "Patsy Beachtime" which I coloured with ProMarkers (& a bit of Prismcolor pencils).  I did some machine stitching round the edge of the papers, added lots of flowers, 2 ribbons, a punched border & 2 tickets (there was a cute wooden butterfly on the fence which balanced the card nicely but I didn't notice it had fallen off when I took the photo lol).

Colour Combo at Stampin' For The Weekend

Yummy Chocolate!

Well if you're wondering why the weather has changed from lovely summer sunshine to torrential rain I have the answer it's because I have the week off from work lol.   How annoying we were looking forward to doing lots of walking, taking in the fresh air & feeling the suns rays on our faces, maybe having a picnic or 2 - oh well never mind at least I'm NOT at work & will have more time for crafting (though not too much as I feel a bit guilty when hubby on holiday too & it is of course nice to spend time with him - even if it is in the rain!).

The image I used is from the Zoe collection from Digi Stamp Boutique & she is my fav character (might have something to do with the chocolate & the giant cupcake).  I coloured her with ProMarkers, the papers are MME & I did some machine stitching around the edges & the ticket was a freebie (sorry I can't remember where from).  I finished off with Lots of flowers & some lace.

Inspired By A Song at Sentimental Sundays

This week's challenge at Sentimental Sundays is "Inspired By A Song" (with a sentiment).  I've had this Bugaboo image for ages & think it's such fun (it has extra appeal to me as I work in a doctors surgery lol).  I coloured "Nurse Margaret" in with ProMarkers, the sentiment comes with the image, the papers are from Designs by Krista & I finished the card off with some pearls & ribbon for a splash of colour.  My song is "Night Nurse" by Gregory Isaacs (I'm rather partial to a bit of reggae) & Simply Red also covered it.  I hope you can join us & that you'll check out the DT's creations (including our fabulous new members) & don't forget the free sentiments every week.
