Catching Up...(be warned it's a long post)

Wow! That was a busy week, starting last Friday with us having our 3 grandchildren to stay until Tuesday (son & DIL were at a wedding but came back to ours to stay on Sunday night too) & then work has been ridiculously busy & short staffed, with 2 people on holiday & one person off sick (& that is nearly half our team). So I am trying to have a catch-up with everything this weekend.  Starting with Sentimental Sundays challenge which this week is "Child's Play" (with a sentiment) & I used this cute coloured image from TPS called "Happy Times", the papers are digi (I have a new printer at last) & I finished the card with string, die cut banner, greeting & staples.  We are sponsored this week by Sweet & Sassy & I hope you can find time to join us :o)

More Christmas...

Today at Jellypark there are some fantastic new Christmas images, I love them all but this "Christmas Window" is one of the loveliest Christmas images I've seen!  I made a card blank from Kraft card, I used odd papers from my "Christmas drawer", the image is coloured with ProMarkers & the snow is Aleene's Glitter Snow.  I finished the card with a ribbon, flowers, pearls & greeting. The new challenge at Jellypark Friends is "Christmas in July", so you can treat yourself to a new image & join the challenge too ;)

Christmas in July

I hope the weekend is going well, I can't believe it's Sunday evening already, where has the time gone??  As it has gone so quick I am a tad late with my DT card for Sentimental Sundays but it is still Sunday so it could have been worse lol.  This week our challenge is "Christmas in July" (+sentiment), HOORAY I hear you shouting, a chance to make a start on those Christmas creations :o)  We are sponsored by Dilly Beans & were lucky enough to get to chose an image to work with.  I chose this cute "Penguin in Scarf" & coloured him with ProMarkers.  I used some strips of digi papers (I have been trying to think of ways to use my scraps & I like the effect I think I will do this more).  I inked & added Glamour Dust to the edges of the image& finished off with a padded tree embellishment, die cut corners, digi greeting and a pompom.

New Di's Digi Challenge

Hello everyone, I hope you've had a lovely week, I have as I have been on holiday from work this week & the weather has been gorgeous (we did have to do a bit of decorating but luckily that only took a couple of days).  The down side is that the week has flown by :o(  At least we still have the weekend to enjoy :o)  This week's Di's Digi Challenge is "Wedding/Anniversary" & I used Di's wonderful image called "Sweet Moments" which I coloured with ProMarkers.  The papers are DCWV & have a bit of sparkle to them.  I used a wide piece of lace for a border & finished the card with various flowers, a punched heart & butterfly, pearls, heart pin, sentiment (from Pink Petticoat) & a stamped ticket.  The wedding season is in full flow so I hope you will be able to join us, ooh nearly forgot to mention our fab sponsor is "The Cutting Cafe".

I am soo glad it is the weekend as my I had a tough week at work but at least it's over now :D & I have next week off {hooray!}.  We are having a night in a country hotel tomorrow with dinner & breakfast & then meeting our youngest son & his girlfriend for a meal & movie Monday, so I'm looking forward to that.  Then we have to do decorating though, not quite so nice (but still better than being at work lol).

Swirly Girly

This week's challenge at The Paper Shelter is "Swirly Girly" & The Paper Shelter have lots of gorgeous girly images to choose from so it is difficult to choose (well it would have been if my printer wasn't broken lol, so I had to choose one I had already printed).  I used "Cute Dressmaker" & coloured her with ProMarkers, the papers are Basic Grey, the sentiment is stamped with a magazine free stamp & I finished off with a stamped swirl, buttons & gems.

Ingredients for a Fab Sunday...

Well the sunshine is helping (at last) :D & this week's Sentimental Sundays challenge is "Ingredients (4, 3, 2, 1)" & we are sponsored by Meljens & I used their Little Possum image which I coloured with ProMarkers.  The base card was made from some kraft card that I got from Every Craft's a Pound & I was really pleased with the quality (£2.50 for 50 sheets).  The papers are Prima "So Cute" & I finished my card off with some die cut arrows & pearls.  In case you're wondering I used: 1 image, 2 papers (the leaf & sentiment are from 1 sheet), 3 arrows & 4 pearls).

Weekend!!!

Phew!  I'm so glad it's the weekend as work has been manic especially yesterday.  I definitely need time to recharge my batteries lol.  Today sees the start of a new Di's Digi Challenge & this time it is "Paper Piecing".  The image I used is called "Little Pippa", isn't she just the cutest.  I coloured her with ProMarkers & the papers are My Minds Eye "Howdy Doody".  I finished the card with ribbon, pearls, various flowers, a greeting & doily.  Our fab sponsor is "There She Goes", I hope you can join us.

Christmas in July (well the last day of June)

I feel like I'm always chasing my tail lately despite my best efforts to get organised :(  I (just about) managed to get my card for this week's Sentimental Sundays challenge which is "All Things Digital" (with a sentiment). We are sponsored by Clearly Digi Stamps & I used Bitty Tree & Snowflake Image (well just the tree but you get both).  The image was coloured but as my printer isn't printing colour properly I had to go over the image with ProMarkers.  The papers were free in a magazine & I used my holly border die & finished off with gems & a sentiment.

New Releases at Jellypark!

I'm soo glad it's Friday :D  & today there are 2 fabulous new releases at Jellypark:  "Bug or Alien Boy" (which I used) & "Boy, Rock Pool, Crab" (see image below).  I coloured my image with ProMarkers & added some wire, beads & googly eyes.  The papers are digi from Scrapbooking Mad (I got them ages ago so not sure if they still do them).  I finished off with a punched fence border, twine, ladybird button & stamped sentiment.  There's also a new "Summer" challenge at Jellypark Friends too starting today :D

Notebook

Hello everyone & Happy Sunday (& Happy Father's Day to all those Dad's in the UK), I hope you're having a great weekend.  We're taking FIL out to lunch & Stuart (youngest son) is coming too so I'm looking forward to that.  As it is Sunday it's time for another challenge at Sentimental Sundays & this week it is "Sprays/Mists".  I had a slight problem as I wanted to use my Perfect Pearls antique gold spray for creation but I had only sprayed a tiny bit & then the bottle got clogged up & I couldn't get it to work so I had to use the only other spray I have which is silver & I sprayed it on thin blue card (I was going to spray the gold on Kraft card).  I love notebooks (& making lists) & think you can never have too many, this one was free with a magazine & just had a plain cover.  We are sponsored by MayzyArt & the DT were lucky enough to chose an image to work with & I chose MacKenzie & coloured her with ProMarkers.  I finished the notebook off with a ribbon, flowers, gem & some alphabet stickers.  If you like me have sprays that you haven't used for ages or if you love using them & use them all the time, I hope you will join us.

New Challenge at The Paper Shelter

Today's new challenge at The Paper Shelter is "Blue & White" or "Pink & White".  As I've just lost all my digital images when my PC broken I've had to use one of TPS's new images (which is not a problem as all their images are fab but I would have liked to have made a baby card).  The image I used is called "Mad About Video Games" & I coloured it (not very well, I'm not sure what went wrong here, the ink seemed to bleed & it just didn't go as I'd planned) with ProMarkers.  The stripey card is recycled from some packaging & I used my star border punch (Martha Stewart) & single star punch (Fiskars), finishing off with some punched corners, a couple of star brads & a greeting.

Beautiful Borders

Hello everyone :o)  I hope you've had a good week.  I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things after our amazing holiday in Croatia.  So I'm glad it's over (the week, not our holiday) & I can try & catch up on what I like doing best (apart from eating cake & drinking tea ;) lol) - crafting of course!  This week Di's Digi Challenge is "Beautiful Borders" & the image I used is "Little Ted's Balloon" which I coloured with ProMarkers.  The papers are digi & I did a little bit of machine stitching.  The border is a Memory Box die cut from foam & I finished the card off with flowers, pearls, gems & a greeting.  (The card is actually recycled from one I made a while ago but didn't use).
