Stamp Something meets Papertake

I made this card using the sketch from Stamp Something & the theme at Papertake this week is to choose from a list of colours (I chose Green and Lilac). The image is WOJ & coloured in the usual way (with a touch of glitter pens for accents). The papers are from Papermania & the card is finished with some flowers & a greeting.

Cards for Men!

They are so awkward in soo many ways lol (buying presents & making cards for are just 2 of them). I have my youngest son Stuart & my Father-in-Law's birthdays both on the 28th July.

The first card made for FIL is made using Hot off the Press papers, image from Sally-Ann, coloured in with Prismacolors & finished off with some peel-offs & liquid pearls. The fab sketch is from Carol's Sketch Fun.

The card I made for Stuart was made with a fee monkey image from Dustin Pike, coloured in with Prismacolours, the papers are Papermania & the card is finished off with a printed greeting, some brads & stars with glossy accents. The card didn't look much like a birthday card so I added a party hat to the monkey lol. This card fits 4 challenges:-
Lili of the Valley - Animals
Charisma Cardz - Sketch
One Stop - Good Sense of Humour
The Pink Elephant - Animals

Another Popcorn Card

I made this card quickly (well when I say quickly I mean a in a couple of hours which is quick for me lol) tonight for Heather whose birthday is Sunday (she's a Nurse that I work with) using my Popcorn the Bear CD again :-) I tripple embossed the image & used my Nesties, added a bit of ribbon, rose, stamped butterfly & a greeting. I'm entering this card in the ABC challenge which is "Window" and Cupcake challenge which is "Blossoms & Butterflies".

Charmed Cards & Crafts Competition

Over on the Crafty Goings On blog there is a competition to win 72 Copic pens (yes 72, wow!). To be in with a chance to win all you have to do is make a card with a download or stamped image that you have coloured in. I used the Charmed Cards & Crafts "Girls About Town" download coloured in with Prismas & chalk. The papers were downloaded from Papercraft Inspirations. The card was finished off with ribbon, button, punched flowers with card candy & gems & sentiment. I used the fab sketch from A Spoon Full of Sugar.

Willow Sketchie :-)

Just managed to fit in another card before bed (just). I've used the Willow Designs Winnie Owl with her handbag (coloured in with Prismacolor pencils of course). I found the base card in my stash & thought the sentiment was perfect lol. The finishing touches are brads, anchorettes (that's what it says on the pot) & glitter flower & gems. I think you can just about recognise the Willow Sketchie sketch. I'm entering this for the PaperPlay challenge too which is "Ooh -La-La Fashion".

Right time for bed now I'm shattered after my early morning (work).

Sunny Card

Unfortunately I had to work this morning (& at 8.00 am shouldn't be allowed on a Saturday lol) luckily only until 11.30 so I managed to fit in a little bit of crafting :-) This is the first time I've used these stamps which I got at the Ally Pally, the image is coloured in with Prismas & chalk & I've paper pieced her dress. I used some papers I had floating about & finished off the card with ribbon, a butterfly charm, sticky pearls, 2 peel off flowers & gems.

This card fits 4 challenges:-
Sketch Saturday - Sketch (of course lol)
Simon Says - Paper Piecing (it's the first time I've joined this challenge)
DewDrop Craftz - Photo for Inspiration (another first)
Creative Inspirations - Gems & Pearls

The flowers are felt cut ou with Nesties & I stamped some text & used my flower punch & sewed the buttons on.

More Popcorn :-)

I've been playing with my new Popcorn the Bear CD again. This card was made for a new challenge I found:- Flutterby Wednesday- Open Theme (but to include a fairy or butterfly on your card).

This image is from the Floral CD & I used an insert for the backing paper, roses have clear gloss finish on them & the greeting is from Whiff of Joy. The card is finished off with a butterfly gem & some sticky pearls.

Hmm... I think I might have to invest in some Popcorn stamps :-)

Friday Freebie from Digital Delights

I just found this cool site Digital Delights offering Friday Freebies, this week it is a cute lil elf peeping out of a toadstool. I used their sketch to make this card & I'm trying to use up some of my (many) embellishments etc. The papers are scraps (apart from the blue which is from Papermainia's Sweet Nothings pad), I also used sticky ribbons, a chipboard flower & the corner & tab are from my endless Brenda Pinnock kit. The image is coloured in with Prismacolors for a change ;-)

Where Has the Weekend Gone?

Well that's another weekend nearly over again but I have enjoyed it (though I enjoy every weekend). I'm in the middle of making a "Toyota Yaris, Volkwagen Fox, Peugeot & Perodua" card for my special grandson Ryan who is absolutely crazy about cars & can recognise nearly every make/model (I'm not kidding and he's only 4 lol). Every week he gives me a request of what cars he would like on that weeks card bless him. Inbetween cutting & sticking cars I've managed to make this wedding card which fits 3 challenges:-

Creative Card Crew - Weddings
PaperPlay - Paper Roses (handmade flowers)
Papertake - Sketch

I stamped & embossed a wedding cake & used my Nesties for matting & layering, the flower is made with a small Nestie, punches & a sticky pearl & the card is finished off with ribbon & a peel off (! only another 300+ to use up lol). The cake image & the flower are 3d (that' the trouble with scanning you don't get the perspective, I must get a new camera).

Another Card!

I had really enjoyed making this card even though it is quite simple. This cute image is another from my dear friend Linda (of course coloured in with Prismacolors). The paper is from my Popcorn the Bear CD & I used my swiss dots embossing folder. It is finished off with some sticky pearls & a stamped cupcake greeting (which is coloured in with Sakura glitter pens).

It was made for 2 challenges:-

Sunday Sketch & Stamp - Sketch
Crafty Creations - Celebration

Phew just managed to finish it before I have to pick hubby up (he's been playing 10 pin bowling).

Whiff of Joy Challenge

I've had a lovely day today, poor hubby was working but it gave me the opportunity to do MORE crafting but I did have to wizz round with the hoover, wash the kitchen floor, do the washing etc... but I was super quick cos I had an incentive lol.

Anyway on to the card - this was made for the Whiff of Joy challenge which is 3 patterned papers, 3 flowers and 1 ribbon. I've had this fab stamp for ages but this is the first time I've got round to using it but I will definitely be using it lots more. She is coloured in with the usual Prismacolors, the papers are Papermania & The English Paper Co. I finished off with a little tag, a muffin sticker and a stamped greeting.

Bit of Decoupage

Hooray, it's Friday again. Had a really long day today, we had a meeting lunchtime so didn't even get home for a little while. But never mind I've managed to a bit of cutting & sticking tonight :-) I haven't done any decoupage for ages as I love stamping & colouring but it was nice for a change. I kept this card really simple as it's for a man & I never like to over embellish lol. It was made for 3 challenges:-

C.R.A.F.T Challenge - Decoupage
Daring Cardmakers - Blue & Green
Dutch Dare - Sketch

The image is Popcorn the Bear from Crafter's Companion & so are the papers & I used my embossing folder (I'm so glad now I've got them working on my Zip-e-Mate). The greeting is just printed from the computer.

Whiff of Joy Blog Anniversary Blog Hop

Check out Katharina's blog for details of their forthcoming Blog Hop as Whiff of Joy is celebrating its 1 year anniversary. She has this fantastic sketch for you to check out:-

For my card I used this gorgeous Confirmand Melinda stamp coloured with Prismacolor pencils & highlighted with Glamour Dust, the papers are a fab free download from Funk Fairys, the ribbon & sentiment are from Brenda Pinnock & I finished off with a swirl, snowflakes, gems & a brad.

It felt a bit strange in the middle of a heatwave making a Christmas card lol but that's a little bit of a head start for me (the rest will probably be made in December lol).
