Anniversary Card

I made this card for a colleague at work & her husband for their 6th Wedding Anniversary. The papers were free with Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine & are by Kate Knight. The cute image is from Mo's Digital Pencil & coloured in with ProMarkers. I used my Martha Stewart border punch. The finishing touches are: digi greeting on tags, stamped, punched & glittered butterflies. Inked & glittered flowers, punched foliage, gems & a heart brad.

Hooray it's the Weekend!

Thank goodness it is the weekend. Unfortunately I had to get up early as I had to be at work at 8 am but at least I only had to work until 11.30 (plenty late enough on a Saturday!). I managed to finish this card that I started making last night - I've had these Anyas coloured in for ages & at last I was able to use them - it was the Rainbow paper by Zoe Pearn that inspired me :) I used a new stitch that I found on my sewing machine. The castle is a stamp by Imaginisce which I've also had for ages. I made a flower sun out of a couple of circles & a metalic sticker (I thought they were brads lol), the card is finished off with 2 flower & a bird button.

I'm entering this card for 10 challenges:
All That Scraps - Sewing
Anyone for Anya? - Sweet as Sugar!
Crafty Catz - Stitching
Dare U 2 Digi - Flowers

Stampin' for the Weekend - Getting to Know You

The challenge this time on Stampin' for the Weekend is "Getting to Know You" based on your favourite book. We have 2 sponsors Michelle Perkett & Spesch designer stamps.

There is some sad news though - our Kimmi has decided to step down from Stampin' & she will be greatly missed by myself & all the DT. Luckily Sandie & Jan are taking over the reins so hopefully Stampin' for the Weekend can keep going :)

I chose Winnie the Pooh because I had an old Winnie the Pooh book which I read & read when I was a little girl & loved it even though it had all line drawings & no colour. The papers are from Zoe Pearn & I did some paper piercing around the edge (although you can hardly see it). The quote is from Winnie himself & I finished the card off with string, brads & a charm.

I'm entering my card for 3 challenges:
Charisma - Quotes
Crafters Companion - 3D
My Time to Craft - Quick Quotes!

Thank You Bear

This card was made with this weeks fab Delightful Inspirations free image (just in time too) which has been coloured in with ProMarkers & a little bit of glitter gel pen for the middles of the flowers - ooh & chalk for the clouds & the bear's cheeks. I found another fab new challenge blog Sentimental Sundays & used one of their fantastic free sentiments. The papers are from Designs by Krista & I printed on both sides so you can see a (little) bit of a different paper where it has been torn. The flowers are punched, inked & glittered & finished off with a punched, stamped butterfly & gems.

I'm entering this card for 10 challenges:
One Stop - Things with Wings
Our Creative Corner - Beautiful Butterflies
Papertake - Sketch

Lexi's Creations Recipe

It's been such a busy week with work & family that I almost forgot to make my Lexi's Creations DT card but luckily I managed it in the nick of time & was able to use this fab image that I've been wanting to use for ages (she is called Claudia & you can find her here). The challenge this time is a recipe: 3 papers, 2 embellishments & 1 image. Our sponsor is the Stamping Boutique with 5 images of their choice to the winner :-) We have some fab new DT members now so why not check the rest of the team's blogs for lots of inspiration.

I rustled up this card using various Christmas papers from my stash which I inked the edges. I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils & used some Puffy Stuff with added glitter for the hat & fur collar & cuffs. I finished the card with a greeting, gems, padded Christmas tree, flowers & gems.

I'm entering this card for 4 challenges:

Frosted Designs - Use a Tree
Sparkle - Digi Image

Happy Birthday Hubby!

I haven't had much time to make hubby's card, his birthday is Monday & we have the family coming to stay for the weekend so I've been busy, busy (& there's work of course getting in the way of everything as usual lol) BUT anyway I managed to get it done. The image is rather young but as Mark (hubby loves footy) & it sorta looks a bit like him (without the 12 o'clock shadow- Oh & he isn't that grey lol ) I'm hoping he will like it. I used papers & die cut stickers from Basic Grey, added some rub-on greetings, pearls & a brad. Oops nearly forgot the image was a free one but I'm sorry I can't remember where from & it has been coloured in with ProMarkers.

I'm entering this card for 8 challenges:
Creative Belli - Die Cut Shapes
Creative Card Crew - Happy Birthday
PaperPlay - Stickers
Penny's - Anything Goes

OMG Today is going way to quick (it's always the same with days off), I've had so much to do & in fact at this moment I should be on my way to visit my friend Ida lol (she won't mind if I'm a little late though). I started making this card at the weekend but have only just finished it. The gorgeous image is from Prarie Fairy & she is coloured in with ProMarkers & edged with Glamour Dust (as you can see I've gone overboard with the GD this time: on the flowers & butterflies too). The papers are from DCWV, I used my sewing machine & finished the card off with lace, gems & 3 stamped words.

If you grab the free image at Delightful Inspiration, make a card & link it to their blog you get another free image to use for the next week - how fab is that! I've been playing along for about 2 months now & have got some really great images to play with.

This card was made for my friend Ida's birthday. I used Nesties, Martha Stewart punch (this is the first time I've used this & I think I'm gonna have to get used to it - the jury's out lol), the papers are from my stash & the flowers were a fab buy at QD (a cheap shop in UK, not sure if it just Norfolk - who usually sell quite a lot of junk but you can get a good find now & again), 99p for a big bunch (16 flowers) - I pulled them to pieces, reassembled them & added mini beads to the centres. I finished off with a greeting, glitter, ribbon & pin.

I used pearlised card & cut a heart with my new Martha Stewart heart punch which I was lucky enough to win from Simon Says Stamp, labels 1 Nesties, computer generated greeting, pearls, lace, organza ribbon & gorgeous flowers from Orchid Crafts. It has a matching cream insert & I am making a box to go with the card which I will add to the post when it's finished.

Get Ready to Alter It!

Lexi's Creations challenge this time is for an altered project, it can be great fun taking something that is no longer needed (or is still needed but could do with a new lease of life) & making it into something different or just better! Our fab sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen :)

In my craft room I have a big bag full of toilet roll holders, ice cream tubs & various boxes all waiting to be made into something wonderful lol but for this challenged I used a children's Filofax. My hubby rescued lots of these from the skip at work for me so I have several in various designs (& so do my friends & family). This is another of my favourite of Lexi's images & she is called "Chrissie" & she has been coloured with ProMarkers. The papers, flowers & hearts are from Zoe Pearn. I did lots of sewing again & finished off with Glamour Dust, Lexi's Fairy Dust Butterfly & gems.

I'm entering this for 11 challenges:
Creative Inspirations - Anything but a Card
Daring Cardmakers - A Diamond for April

& Now for Something Completely Different...

Hope you're all enjoying the long Easter weekend, we are going to see my brother this afternoon & then the inlaws are coming round for tea.

This was a bit of a challenge but that's what I love about Faith's free images on Delightful Inspiration they give you something different to work with that you wouldn't necessarily choose yourself. I coloured her lighthouse image in with Distressed Inks & added a touch of glitter glue to the waves. The papers are from Designs by Krista & I distressed the edges with my stitch unpicker. Finished off with a couple of nautical beads, greeting & 2 brads.

I'm entering this card for 5 challenges:
Eat Sleep Stamp - Sketch
Bee Crafty - Birthday
Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
Polka Doodles - Birthday!
Sweet Stampin - It's a Man's World

My card is made with an image I had on my computer (I think it's from a Sarah Kay colouring page) coloured with ProMarkers, the papers are from Zoe Pearn, I used my sewing machine (really must start using it for making things other than cards but there's just not enough hours in the day :( ), organza ribbon, mini doillie, flowers, stamped flowers, pearls & some jump rings & opaque heart.
